@Summons75,
I think we can say the combat is more of a subjective choice, but it wasn't my thing either, newer FFs seem to like automating or taking a large portion of control from the player for some reason. I just want to control everyone in battle with a more traditional turn-based gameplay again.
As for the story, yeah, it was pretty weak, people will try and argue and defend it as being a highly political one, but it wasn't one of their bett...
This seems to happen alot with older beloved series (Breath of Fire, and wasn't there a Valkyrie Profile game or something release on mobile not long ago?).
I just want tits and ass, good story and/or gameplay would be nice too.
EDIT: I really don't think Nights of Azure should of been on this list, just saying, but everything else on this list was alot worse with the fan service.
@Snookies12
That's what really grabbed me about the last trailer, everything looked good, the visuals, the combat (I really have higher hopes for this since FFXV was lacklustre).
Unfortunately I can't agree that Square-Enix consistently puts out great games, it's varied heavily since the closing years of the PS2 gen.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Wii sold the best during the PS3/360/Wii gen. Xbox has always had a problem with a lack of games and diversity in genres, it just seems particularly bad this gen for some reason.
The quality of the franchise is spotty at best, World of Final Fantasy was pretty great, FFXV was too much of a mixed bag to be considered good, I'm excited for the new Dissidia though. It's always hard to tell how FF is doing since almost every entry in the series sells like crazy.
TBH, I don't think there is enough room in the market for another console like the PS4/Xone/Switch.
I felt everything went downhill after X, yep..,
Your right @ABizzel1, the amount of people that screw this up and judge Vega based on Frontier is astounding, you do not base gaming performance on a workstation card.
It didn't look like a very good game when they showed the initial trailer, Terry Crews was the best part of it.
Oh god, I struggle to get days off as it is (have plenty of holidays and sickpay saved up), if I didn't work I wouldn't be able to afford the games I play.
The current rumors the past few days state Vega will be between a 1080 and a 1080ti, I hope that's little Vega (and hopefully there's one below that to take the RX 590 position), I hope there's a big Vega that competes with the 1080Ti though.
Testing the Frontier Edition for gaming... GTFO, why do people keep doing this? It doesn't even compete in the same space as the gaming cards. So many people must be infected with stupid when it comes to the Vega cards (and we're not even sure how well or how badly they'll perform until someone gets their hands on one). I'm shocked that even the big name tech youtubbers are doing this.
I wasn't overly excited for Andromeda, I was wary of it for some reason, I guess my intuition paid off, I hope Anthem is good though, I excited for my Iron Man open world game.
@Cobra951
It's overall a bad time to be shopping for a mid-range GPU, it makes more sense to go really low end or really high end at the moment. As long as you can wait it out for about 3 months, most mid-range gamers should be golden.
@yeahright2
I find that PSN is generally cheaper more often than not for me, I just wait for the really good steam sales or I buy physicals.
I miss lan gaming, why did it have to die (I blame Steam).
I think sequel syndrome is killing the franchise (alot of series have that going on, e.g. Final Fantasy).
It was the best game on the original Xbox, until then, the xbox had nothing, so there's no surprise it got popular.
@DragonKnight,
"When Sony stops telling us what we want, and actually listens to what we want, and doesn't take an entire generation to put out basic features, maybe then they'll live up to their slogan."
Basic features? What more do you want? I've basically got almost everything I wanted, I would really like BC instead of Playstation Now (I doubt my internet could handle that anyway), but that has alot of complications involved.
