Except for E3, but no one really had a good showing at E3, except the Switch, it did best at E3 this year.
I enjoyed it but still haven't finished it, my backlog is getting crazy.
It's not really worth it for me either, I'm better off waiting longer for most of those games I do want.
I really feel like MMO are in a decline despite the popularity of Destiny and Cod/Battlefield.
I still find it hard to fathom this GaaS mentality the industry has lately, with the exception of a few outstanding games, I can't think of many great games that fit into that category. Everyone wants to be the new Overwatch and make ridiculous amounts of cash
This is why full HD looks awful on a big screen, so blurry and hard to see, that's why I always advocate smaller screens for that resolution, especially for shooting games where seeing minute details to track targets is important.
@BlackTar187
True, he could go for a small factor build and still have a high end PC, personally I like bigger because it's easier to work on an gives more options.
"Now, what about that MANY PS4 exclusives again? What compelling PS4 exclusiv games is comming to PS4 THIS year?"
Is it possible you've been taking a nap all year? I don't even mind if it slows down towards the end of the year because of the ridiculous amount of choice in games PS4 owners have.
@itsmebryan,
You must be new here, regardless of how true a comment is (I'll get down voted for this, but I suspect a poster's reputation factors in here too), it's not uncommon to see large numbers of downvotes, not that I agree completely with his comment.
Don't be a dick, comments like that are the cancer of this community. I'm sure no one wants to hear that from someone named deepthroat.
What about the newest Resident Evil? It was good but sold poorly.
Black flag was my favourite out of the accolades series, even the navel combat.
I have accusound reference 8.6 XDs, I would have liked another pair of bookshelf speakers for 7 channel surround but the company went out of business. Great speakers for the price point, it pretty much punched around the mid-tier level speakers, really sucks you can't get them anymore.
@Kribwalker
I want to get Atmos addon speakers at some stage, but I have no good reasons to upgrade my AV receiver yet. I only watch mainly TV series on Netflix, especially their originals, I still prefer blu-rays or 4k blu rays for movies because I enjoy using the surround sound system with it.
I still see alot of people buying DVDs here, I would have thought most people would move onto Blu-ray by this point since it's reasonably affordable now.
I highly prefer physicals over digital, plus I don't have the internet connection for 4k and probably won't in the foreseeable future. My major beef is the lack of 4K media to choose from, even amongst 4K discs, it's slim pickings. I own more than half a dozen 4k blu-rays myself and the quality is outstanding and you can't get that quality streaming it.
Not quite, we can barely manage 4k as it is, maybe next gen it'll be more feasible, but I don't think it'll happen until after that one. At the moment you generally have to make compromises to reach 4K for it to be reasonably playable.
4K has been around for a while, it just seems to have a very slow adoption and standardization period, the last three or so years were the years "4K is really going to take off this year". And yet, the prices are only becoming reasonable now, content is still lacking (4k Blu Ray seems to be the best bet so far and probably Netflix in the future) and features are still being standardized (e.g. Dolby Vision).
@OoglyBoogly,
And then when your realistic about PC performance and specs people call you out to be a liar, there's defiantly some PC envy and some PC users are just exaggerating their performance (TL:DR, some PC gamers are just as bad as the console gamers). I just blame the N4G community and Facebook groups, Reddit seems to be the most PC friendly strangely enough.
@rainslacker,
Your right about the pricing, 4k has a big financial barrier to entry (getting a worthwhile TV, getting a console of choice, a UHD player), I think the Pro is better priced and is the best deal for gaming, but the UHD player in the XoneX is hard to pass up if you don't care about games as much and want to watch 4k movies. Personally I wouldn't get either without a decent 4k tv to make the purchase worthwhile.
It's crazy, I don't have the time and money for all these games.
