@Woolly_,
With the amount of games released for PS this year, waiting for new ones shouldn't be a problem for most people when they're snowed under with all the games they already have to finish.
Personally, I still think VR is too infantile on all platforms and developers still don't quite know how to use it best, I haven't been impressed with anything VR yet. Although Farpoint is one of the best implementations I've seen thus far. Re...
It's no surprise, PUBG has lackluster optimization all round, even high end PCs struggle with it, so I'm guessing that Xbox will hit similar issues unless it gets more optimizations specifically for that console.
It would be nice if they helped tighten the overall optimization for PUBG, but it will probably just make optimizations for xbox.
Wow, that was really unexpected, never really played the first one much, but as an adult I might appreciate more now.
So the Beta starts tomorrow? I already downloaded the demo.
I never played Hell Blade but people are saying it won too many awards, I'm still waiting for a decent price job before I buy it.
The competition was pretty stiff this year so I can't complain about GOTY, all those games except PUBG deserved awards. It's just hard picking who gets what award.
I would prefer a new Tench over Bloodborne, although I really want a new Armor Core (I'm pretty sure it's already in development.
I'm pretty happy with how the awards turned out, I was expecting worse, but the games that deserved awards got them. GOTY had some tough contenders (except for PUBG, which for were people thinking there).
It's never going to get any better than it is now, so it's pretty much a no to all your questions.
The mobile games, all the F**king mobile games.
I think they're struggling with alot of things lately, at least they're solid when it comes to the graphics, can never fault Square-Enix for graphics.
@meka2611,
I could believe he is absolutely serious, 12 and 13 were not good games but that goes to show how badly 15 went. People seem to love 15 just for the "road trip in an open world with an action battle system". It's biggest fault is the story and characters.
@StormSailor,
Popular opinion seems to be that most people like FFXV but it was a mess of a game, once you finish it you can easily tell it went through development hell. I just want them to leave FFXV alone and do better on the next mainline title.
I feel like the closest we ever got in recent years was World of Final Fantasy, that felt very similar to classic FF to me. Anything after X doesn't feel like it has that magic or charm.
At least PS has some decent competition in the Switch to keep them honest (assuming the Switch keeps improving and selling well).
With the success of series like Rachet and Clank and Crash Bandicoot, I'd be surprised if Sony doesn't revive Spyro by the end of this gen.
How can anyone pick the PS4's swan song at this point? We're god knows how many years away from the PS5, and there have been that many games announce for the next year or two, I wouldn't be confident at picking any game as the swan song right now.
@Feldman9000,
I did see someone make a list of xbox exclusives coming by the end of the year in another thread, but it was so abysmal they would have been better not listing the titles.
At that price point and with more powerful hardware, it'd be shocking if the Xone wasn't more powerful, although I think they got the price/performance ratio wrong (and last/this gen proves how sensitive people are to pricing).
