@iamtylerdurden1, scores seem to be all over the place.
I've defiantly had some holy sh*t moments in Monster Hunter World, and seen some hilarious stuff.
I don't like how the gun play feels, but that's a personal thing for me.
Possibly not, battle royale games have a limited life before people get bored, PUBG has had their turn, now it's Fortnite, then whatever comes after that.
Well at least Sony had a pretty great gen so far with a games library rivaling the great times we had during the PS2 gen.
I agree Nintendo should be applauded, they tend to take alot of risk to be different from the crowd with varying degrees of success, personally I think the Switch is a pretty great idea, having the ability to switch between a home console and a handheld as desired (I imagine this will eventually replace the 3DS at some point).
@Rude-ro,
Mario Oddessy changed things up a bit, I kinda want to get it despite not having played a Mario game in a long time.
...
Well we had the Switch and VR this gen, there's only so many ways you can design a console, I'm more worried about the innovation in games, with titles costing the small as a small hollywood movie to make, developers are playing it too safe with only a few trying to break out of the norm.
For everyone calling n4g's community too playstation biased, remember when the 360 was doing well? Some of you people are either too young or just have to ridiculously short memories. As for Sea of Thieves, it was obvious it would turn out like this, after all the demos/videos we saw. I think some people are just desperate to have a good exclusive on the Xone.
I'm so excited for this, I just want to see more trailers and stuff, I'm ridiculously curious about the game considering how good the Witcher 3 was.
I'm surprised you bought the XoneX when you would have seen the Xone's history this gen, fair enough, expensive lesson learned.
And it's off to Play-Asia I go...
Well it's inevitable, but the better question is how long you'll have to wait for it? Maybe the ps6 and it's equivalents, or maybe the generation after.
Isn't this type of marketing typical of Square-Enix these days?
That's normal for him, he's not the type to play it safe by any stretch, NierR: Automata is one of the few games that actually took off, most of the other NieR games were defiantly an experience in of themselves, they just didn't get much recognition. Platinum was probably a big contributor to his success this time.
I really do hope his future projects do better than expected and that they do get the recognition they deserve.
If you have gamepass it's not like you would be wasting money, so for anyone with any interest in the game may as well try it out.
9.3 does not seem like a realistic score to me.
I strongly doubt it would be a good game, but there's hardly any reviews to go by so far, I can't see it getting high scores.
I don't care that much for convince, I normally wait a week or two for it to appear in my mailbox, but I have plenty to play in the meantime.
You can just buy online brand new from stores that aren't eb/gamestop, it's cheaper and better service generally.
@williamsheridan,
You obviously haven't been into gaming for very long if you've forgotten all the battle royale games that came before PUBG (DayZ, H1Z1), and those too got forgotten once the hype and popularity was over. Some of you people really do have short memories (I remember my friends playing those at the height of their popularity), eventually fortnite will lose the crown to someone else. I do prefer the graphics of PUBG, but fortnite is the better game whe...
