I prefer physicals, I like displaying them on my shelf and they're often cheaper than the digital alternative.

@DeadlyOreo,

The voting system was never a good indicator of comment quality, doesn't matter how impartial you are or if you make good valid points.

I didn't even know this existed, they should advertise it.

The os for Windows phone was awful though, it deserved to fail.

I feel like I should make a "if you're brave enough, anything can be a..." joke.

I prefer GOG, I just wish it had the latest and greatest titles available, it's their selection that kills it for me, I just use Steam begrudgingly.

@showtimefolks,

At this point in time can we even call it a competition between those two? I don't mind Nintendo winning for once but I don't think that will happen this E3.

Can we just stop being excited about shiny new things, with the amount of life left in the ps4 I don't see any reason to be enthused about a new playstation.

@Edmix,

In the event they actually do have an "exclusive" I actually want, I can get it on my high end PC, but they actually need to have some games to show off this year.

3029d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

But do they actually need it? At this point in time I can't think of anything that would warrant it, unless they had lots of interactive demos on display or heaps of private screenings/conferences.

To be fair though, E3's not a big show like it used to be, companies now just seem to have their own private reveals or showings or whatever during the year, I feel like E3 is losing relevance when it used to be a huge event to look forward to. Last year's E3 wasn't much to write home about for Sony or Microsoft.

They haven't shown that much game-wise the last 2 or 3 years (PC gamers got a couple of games out of it like Cuphead and Ori), they really need a good showing this year.

Hopefully, Nintendo hardware (and especially software) doesn't tend to drop in price very often, if it does, I may take advantage of it and finally get one.

I'm expecting 2020 or 2021-ish as a time frame for release, 2019 still feels a bit too early to me because of the slew of quality games in the works, that and the time it takes for technology to trickle down to the price acceptable for consoles.

I thought violent people would be drawn more so to violent culture in games or music or tv (hence why I was expecting a high percentage playing violent games), so this article is actually surprising to me.

I would kill for a Silent Hill Collection, last time they did anything like that it was horribly flawed, they could make up for it by doing a better collection now.

I agree, it'd be roughly the same, we're still waiting on new GPUs from Nvidia (they may have been delayed again) and the expected performance boost is about 30% if we look at previous gens. So your completely correct in your statement.

3034d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

And this is why I'd be shocked if we got 4k 60fps next gen, we'd have to make sacrifices on fidelity and the hardware won't trickle down quickly enough to make a reasonably priced console with 4k 60fps. With more ram and better CPUs I'm still only expecting something between FHD and 4K with better graphical fidelity.

@mkis007,

@Godmars290,

Price, hard to develop for (we could argue this as the price/performance ratio issue), released last (although that was probably better for them since the PS4 was better build quality), loss of BC and other features (to be fair I think most people don't give a damn about installing linux on it, but losing BC made it cheaper), bad publicity (anyone remember the PS3 had no games meme? I still think it was exaggerated).

I don't believe w...
