it's the Spike VGAs. what you do expect?

Playstation 3 and multi-console owners know what Killzone 2 is all about, and that it is, unquestionably, the best console FPS released this year.

Modern Warfare 2 is good. not great. the single player is it's weakest part; short, predictable, and severely lacking in any kind of characterization. the MP is Modern Warfare 2 is ALMOST the same as the MP in CoD4, but with less players.

interestingly enough, Killzone ...

despite owning the originals, i have to say that the game truly does look stunning in HD.

it's amazing how crisp and sharp the visuals are. the anti-aliasing REALLY helps.

the textures in the GoW games were surprisingly good. i never realized until playing GoW Collection.

the game supports 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, although i imagine the latter two are upscaled to that res. for sh*ts and giggles, i'm running it at 1080i, and it looks amazing. will run at 7...

that was a 100% TRUTHFUL statement.

PS3 owners CAN play both Bayonetta and GoW3.

*shrugs* just another day at N4G.

i never viewed it as a bad thing, and i can still go back and play the original NES Mario's, Zelda's, and Metroids, but the new ones just don't do it for me like they used to.

it's one of the things that i always dug about Sony is that their platforms age with you. i was 16 when the Playstation 1 came out, and it had a games library that felt like it matched my tastes and maturity back then.

i was 21 when the PS2 came out, and it was the same way.

i was ...

No More Heroes was definitely a game for the Wii that had me considering purchasing one, but i refuse to buy a Wii, as it looks REALLY poor on big screen HDTV's (my roommate has his Wii hooked up to his 46" 1080p Samsung, and it looks like crap. i have a 40" 720p Samsung, and nothing but HD is run on that baby).

looks like i'll be able to get an HD version after all.

hopefully this encourages Muramasa: The Demon Blade to jump ship also. that's the other gam...

and it's amazing.

it really does feel like LBP, just on the PSP.

what impresses me the most is how they managed to create such detailed textures on objects and Sackboy. everything looks like it's supposed to, from felt, to wood, to brick and cardboard.

i wasn't sure how charming Sackboy would be in PSP form, but i have to say the game is just as quirky and charming as the PS3 version.

i highly recommend it. i'll try and have my review up lat...

as if everything needs to be in first person these days.

i'd have been more impressed if they had made it 3rd person.

then again, the Half Life 2 engine just isn't as impressive as it used to be.

"A" for effort though. about 5 years ago i would have been really impressed.

the same exact score to the SAME EXACT GAME on the PS3?

it's not a matter of the game being a year later, or not having anything extra included.

the truth of the matter is that the game was a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. nothing wrong with that.

the truth is that the same exact game, pixel for pixel, was released on the PSN.

it warrants the same score no matter who reviewed it.

how many multi-platform games have IGN reviewe...

first and second party lineup this generation.

most of the games in my PS3 library are first and second party (with a few 3rd party exceptions, of course).

for me, my purchases next year are:

Heavy Rain
White Knight Chronicles (i LOVED the Japanese import, so i don't see why i won't love the improved NA release)
God of War 3
DC Universe Online
The Last Guardian

maybes:

Final Fantasy XIII
Gran Turism...

i just thought it wasn't very fun.

it felt like i was on rails, and my character moved incredibly slowly unless prompted by the script to run or move faster.

it also felt insanely over the top for a game that is praised for it's "gritty realism" in terms of "modern warfare."

overall, i just didn't dig Modern Warfare 2 period. it wasn't just limited to the "No Russian" mission.

there wasn't enough build up for th...

and the framerate is jerky when a lot of things are going on at once. not enough to destroy gameplay, but it's definitely there.

overall, i think Bioware did a bang up job on the PS3 for their first ever PS3 title, and it's just a damn good game no matter what system you play it on.

my wife loves it, and has already beaten it once, and is playing through again with a different race/class/origin. she's logged in quite a few hours into it already (at least 70+).

disappointed with the SP in Modern Warfare 2.

i'm not a big MP player (i pretty much only play Resistance 2, Uncharted 2 co-op, and occassionally Killzone 2; i just don't have the time to devote to full on MP player), and i didn't really care much for CoD4's MP (just not my style of MP, my roommate loved it though, and it certainly wasn't bad, just not my cup o' tea).

since i'd primarily be getting the game for the SP (my roommate rented MW2 from Gamefly), there's no...

wouldn't sync my Trophies.

oddly enough, the world didn't end, i got over it, and tried again about two or three hours later.

synced fine then.

just one of those things, i guess.

leave it to the internet to panic over the smallest things.

Heavenly Sword 5 hours?

try playing the game on Normal instead of Easy, and getting full marks in every chapter, and unlocking all the combos. that'll net the game at least a 15 hour play through.

as for Bioshock: yes, you CAN beat it in less than 10 hours. i DID. and NO, i wasn't playing it on easy.

generally, i'll play a game on Normal first playthrough, then, i'll play it on Easy when i'm trying to find/unlock extras (for example, i played Uncharted 2...

when they are PS3 exclusive.

if they are Xbox 360 exclusive or multi-platform, then game length doesn't matter and the experience is so fun it doesn't matter if it's a 4 hour campaign.

see: reviews for Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, and any other PS3 exclusive that clocks in at 10 hours or less and gets docked for it.

then see: reviews for Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, and Halo 3 ODST. also games that clock in at 10 hours or less, but never get...

but what does the PS3 being in 3rd place for now have to do with their rather humorous marketing campaign?

try harder next time. you're trolling technique is amateurish at best.

"yeah, i'm gonna file this under 'not an issue.'" classic.

i'm usually not one to fall for marketing tactics, but i have to say, if i didn't already own a PS3, and saw these commercials, they'd certainly make me want to get one.

it's like the Crash Bandicoot commercials in the PS1 days. those were hilarious.

i love the one where Crash basically crashes (no pun intended), the Pizza Hut commercial, talking about the Playstation while they are try...

we brought it home.

graphically, the game is decent. it gets the job done, and i don't expect Uncharted 2 like quality.

Bioware is a great developer, and the gameplay of Dragon Age is quality.

it's one of the most engrossing RPG's i've played since Demon's Souls and White Knight Chronicles (Japanese import, of course).

i highly recommend it, and hope to have a review up on my site soon.

the PS3 version has some framerate issues,...

Shadow of the Colossus
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Chrono Trigger
Metal Gear Solid series( in particular 3 and 4)
Halo series (i may not care much for the games, but damn does it have a great musical score)
Uncharted series
Silent Hill 3 (the series soundtrack as a whole is great, but i really loved 3's soundtrack; maybe because it came with the game. lol)
Final Fantasy series (in particular FFX's ...
