the first Fable wasn't exactly epic in length (i think i beat it in about 10 or more hours), but i'm looking forward to it anyway.
as for Too Human, i like Silicon Knights, and while i was at E3 two years ago, when they showed the very buggy, nearly unplayable version of the game (i was going to play it myself, but after seeing so many gamers struggling to play through the horrible framerate, i passed), i still had high hopes in the game.
the only thing that really c...
this story is about METAL GEAR SOLID 4...
did you post in the wrong story? (it happens, so no biggie)
explain it in a language they understand:
beating Metal Gear Solid 4 in The Boss Extreme in under 5 hours, getting no alerts, killing no one, never dying or using any items or special items unlocks the Big Boss Achievement.
there, do you guys get it now?
it's a CHALLENGE. it's only relation to the game is that you have to rush through it to unlock it. it's no different from leaving a game on for 25 hours to get an Achievement on the 360, only that instea...
let's not.
my first playthrough was 22hrs and 45 minutes. watching all cutscenes.
my second playthrough was 21hrs and some minutes, and that was skipping a few boring cutscenes, and skipping the last, epic 45 minute cutscene.
i'm on my third playthrough, playing on Big Boss Hard, trying to see how fast i can get through on a harder difficulty, and it took me 1hr 12 minutes to beat Act 1, but it took me 2hrs and some change to beat Act 2. i'm currently in Act 3, and i think it's...
and the REAL reason why Prototype got delayed is because GTAIV came out, the devs and company saw how fantastically realized Liberty City was in conveying the look and feel of New York City, despite Liberty being fictional, and they panicked.
i got to see Prototype every time i went into work, and while the game looked enjoyable, it also looked a LOT like the Spider-Man titles from Activision, but in HD, with a character that could shapeshift.
the city of New York lo...
"OMFG!!Where's teh innovation and stuffz??!!" to me, are being a little silly.
there are two fundamental things about FPS games:
1) The game must always be in first person (though, for some reason, it's completely acceptable to move to third person when piloting vehicles).
2) You point at something, and SHOOT IT.
now, if you change those two fundamentals about the FPS genre, it ceases to be an FPS, doesn't it?
because ...
1) when they removed the superfluous extra HDMI port.
2) when they scrapped the boomerang controller.
3) when they frequently updated the PS3 hardware specs to support features the competitors console had.
4) when they lowered the price of the PS3 in Japan BEFORE launch (and got reamed by the press for it)
5) when they lowered the price in the US last year, even though they were taking huge losses on it.
6) when they started showcasing game after game after game,...
that'll work too.
i always have one of my controllers plugged in charging so when the one i'm using dies, i can just swap.
i planned on doing that with my headsets also. it's always good to have a backup.
i'll definitely be picking this up, just to have a spare in case my Warhawk headset craps out on me.
he made was about update load times.
of course, during those load times i, i don't know, surf the net, read a book (they're still fundamental!), harass my fiance, go for a walk, etc, etc.
i get the impression that this current generation does NOTHING but sit in front of their computer monitors, typing away angrily "pwning noobs" in message forums (at least, i imagine they THINK they're pwning noobs on message forums).
there's a rather interesti...
Sony wants to make money on the Playstation 3!
and here i thought they were doing this out of the kindness of their hearts...
i WILL own this.
that is all.
Level 5 + RPG = WIN, so i'm not too worried about White Knight Story.
i'm still playing Rogue Galaxy and Jeanne D'Arc, however, so i'm in no hurry for White Knight (though i really AM in a hurry, honestly).
you guys crack me up.
on topic, holy crap that thing is HORRIFYING!!
what dachiefsman said.
that Playstation 3 gamers care if their titles are released on the console or not?
don't get me wrong, Valve is a FANTASTIC developer, and i absolutely love Half Life 2 (i've yet to get the Orange Box, however, so i haven't played Portal or Team Fortress 2 yet), but Gabe Newells complete and utter disdain, hatred, and disrespect for the Playstation 3 just turns me off for ANY project they are working on, no matter what the quality.
so what, they want to just give a b...
here you go:
First Party:
1) SOE - Seattle - working on The Agency
2) SCE Bend - known for Syphon Filter. working on Unannounced PS3 title
3) SCE Foster City - working on unannounced PS3 title
4) SCE Santa Monica - working on God of War 3
5) Naughty Dog - working on Uncharted 2, and possibly Jak PS3, and a PSN title (they've repeatedly stated they love the idea of the PSN, and wouldn't mind working on something small for it)
6) Zipper In...
Itagaki is the Eastern version of Cliffy B. lol.
i agree, i want more than just a handful of reasons to turn on my 360, and the PS3 is a remarkable console.
just the quality and reliability of the console blows away the competition, and the software is very unique, inspired, and most importantly, NOT using Unreal Engine 3. i think that explains why most PS3 games are so vastly different looking from one another. they don't look like they were spawned from the same p...
that was brilliantly played, and kind of freakishly relevant. i think i'll crawl under my bed and play my NES. that's not ID controlled is it?
