22 hours and 45 minutes to beat MGS4 the first time.
my second playthrough took me 21 hours and some minutes. i SKIPPED most of the cutscenes. including the epic epilogues. all three of them. lol.

i loved the Sly Cooper games, and the premise for the game sounds interesting. i was disappointed that he was JUST a lightning-based hero, but when i thought about it, it simply means that the lighting based powers he acquires will be fully thought out and realized. i'd rather have him be a complete bad@ss at this one set of powers, then a slew of mediocre powers.

it's Sly *COOPER, and it's one of the few bastions of 3D platform gaming out there next to the Mario titles, as games like Ratchet and Jak tend to move more towards the "action" end of the platforming spectrum.

but, working at Vivendi, i've seen a LOT of Prototype (well, before they freaked out when GTAIV released and pulled the plug on it for a while), and i can say that Infamous looks WAAAAY better than Prototype.

i'm not a Gears of War fan by a long shot, but in it's defense, it WAS a totally new and unproven IP at the time of it's release, while Metal Gear Solid 4 is the capper to a 20 YEAR OLD, classic gaming franchise, and, arguably, one of the most influential series in gaming.

around the time Metal Gear Solid 4 came out, one of my co-workers who's working on the PS3 version of Chronicles of Riddick called me over and showed me the XMB (i'm working on the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game).
he only showed me the XMB being accessed in game (as simple as pressing the HOME button once), and the trophy list.
