always sounds so damn bitter when reporting on something positive for the PS3...
anyway, this game was on my list because it looked cool, but the added PS3 bonuses are nice, and i'm sure Trophy support is another feature they have yet to announce.
MGS4
Uncharted
Ratchet and Clank Future
Folklore
Heavenly Sword
Warhawk
Pixel Junk Monsters
Lego Star Wars
Lego Indiana Jones
Resistance
and that's about it for me. as if i didn't have enough reason to play through those games again.
i was kind of "meh" on the concept of Trophies before, but i just hope they unlock something for HOME when that releases. i'm not one for bragging rights, so Trophies and Ac...
that this story is from, and in truth, the EGM images themselves are subpar.
the Magazine stock they use just isn't good.
they have some stuff on Fable 2 and Too Human, and that didn't look too hot either.
it's not the game, and partially the scans, but the actual source material is sub par.
tell me:
would you pay $50 for Super Mario Bros (the NES one)?
would you pay $50 for Metroid (the NES one)?
probably not, huh?
well, I DID pay $50 for those games back in the day. and that was before gaming became the multi-billion dollar industry it is today.
i think games should retail for $35-$40, with $50 special editions.
i think handheld games should sell for NO MORE than $20.
why do games cost $60? beca...
titles that personally appeal to me, and that i enjoyed playing.
i LIKE Eye of Judgment, and i thought Folklore was fun and addicting, even though the ending was a typical, Japanese,"WTF just happened??" moment.
i don't think the titles are mediocre in the least.
Kane and Lynch = mediocre
Conflict: Denied Ops = mediocre
Turok = mediocre
Blacksite: Area 51 = mediocre
i think a lot of the gaming populous, and the ga...
and where do people get $50 for a headset, and $20 for an HDMI cable?
i got my HDMI cable from Newegg for $8.99.
my headset i got with Warhawk, and that was about $60 or something. i'd say $40 for the game, $20 for the headset, but there are stand alone headsets for $20 or less.
HDMI cable and headset aside, the PS3 still has more built in features than the 360 does for it's price, and if the 40gig PS3 DOES drop down to $299 this fall or holiday season (...
MILLIONS of loyal consumers who purchased your previous product bought the new one, anxious to play next gen versions of some of their favorite franchises, only to have the system Red Ring on them.
a fiasco would be then having to shell out a few billion dollars to cover extended warranties for said MILLIONS of loyal customers.
a fiasco is NOT, a few thousand units get bricked, and the only way to fix it was to reformat the hard drive, which save data, videos, and mu...
somehow people will STILL complain that it's too expensive...
anyway, if it drops to $300, i'll definitely pick one up for my fiance, since i plan on getting her her own HDTV later this year also (so we don't have to battle for my PS3 and our HDTV).
and i LOVED the ending of the series. ALL eleventy billion of them!
SPOILERS:
personally, i thought Snake killing himself was a p*ssy move. a cowards way out. in my opinion, only a coward would opt to off himself, especially since it was revealed that he WOULDN'T turn into a walking virus, wiping out all of humanity. since Snake was no threat to mankind anymore as a carrier of the virus, WHY wipe himself off of the face of the earth? the reason? selfishness, and self pity. ...
the Mark of Kri, and a sequel, done in the same unique art style would be great.
personally, i'd like to see a Ghosthunter sequel, done PS3 style. that game was surprisingly good, and best of all, the main character was voiced by the guy who did Raphael on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon of the 80s. lol.
i'd also love to see a sequel to War of the Monsters. i remember getting the demo for it in an OPM issue, and out of boredom, took it over to my best friend...
god, you can be such an obnoxious, irritating @sshole at times.
*AHEM*
multi-plats:
Bioshock
Borderlands
Mirror's Edge
Resident Evil 5
Fallout 3
exclusives:
DC Universe online (if the 360 fans could claim games like Gears of War, Mass Effect, and back then, Bioshock, as "console exclusive" then PS3 fans can claim this title as "console exclusive" as well. turnabout is fair play)
...
damn i love that game. i should play it now...
once the sales of a few older games that have gotten trophy support skyrocket (i'm looking at Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, especially), these devs will quickly change their tune, as i think for a lot of gamers, this Trophy thing will breathe new life into games they've already played to death.
as if i didn't have enough reason to run through Uncharted, or, say, Metal Gear Solid 4 again, once they get patched with Trophy's i'll give them another go (as long as Trophies tie into HOM...
news for this game since it debuted at E3 last year, and FINALLY we're getting something.
it'd be wonderful if they managed to squeak it out in time for Christmas, but i can wait until next year if i must.
and to Cviper, he does more than just shoot lightning from his hands. according to the game informer,
Dylan (the inFamous lead character), can use his natural climbing abilities to scale walls. he shoots lighting from his hands, can call down lightning...
separated at birth? a Torch and a Fig? isn't that a recipe for disaster??
anyway, glad you agree, i don't understand how games like Mario and Zelda ALWAYS get a free pass for recycling the same gameplay (and for 20+ years to boot), but god forbid a God of War, or a Metal Gear, or a Devil May Cry and even a Halo do what it does best in the sequel (and adding a new story. i mean, how many iterations of "Mama Mia! The princess-a has-a been-a kid-a-napped-a again-a!" before...
Mario, or Zelda, or ANY franchise that's been running for over 10 years.
i mean, the formula for Mario and Zelda, at it's core, as NEVER changed since they're original releases over 20 years ago.
i mean, in Mario, you're still hopping and bopping enemies.
in Zelda, you're still Link, and you're still exploring various dungeons, finding keys, using the hook-shot and bombs, etc etc.
and yet, we still enjoy those games because they are impeccab...
are jizzing their pants over this news...
i updated last night, and so far, i haven't had any problems. i'm at work now, so i haven't been able to play it, but i also haven't gotten any emails from my fiance telling me the PS3 is broken (she's currently obsessed with Overlord; she HATES the game, but she can't stop playing it...weirdo), so i'm just going to assume it's still functioning properly.
i'm a little tired of the constant FUD and BS spreading from the media...
and kind of pointless article.
i mean, WHAT was he getting at?
and Fable 2? what, is Gears 2 not coming out in Australia?
i have to admit that there isn't much on the 360 that interests me this year outside of Fable 2. Too Human is still on my watch list, although it's looking like it's going to be just shy of mediocre in the gameplay area, and i'm not a fan of Gears of War, so Gears 2 doesn't get my motor pumping in any way.
i'm looking for...
i thought i read something a while back with Kojima or Ryan Payton saying they'd implement it.
i'm not 100% certain though, but i'm expecting that by the end of this year, many, if not all, of the worthwhile released PS3 titles will have Trophy support. if anything because publishers will look at this as a chance to breathe "new life" into older titles.
i'm sure there are many Playstation 3 fans that would pick up, say, Virtua Fighter 5 again, if it was pat...
what you did there.
