I agree with you but only to an extent. This time they are working from their own back pockets, not Sony's. The budget will be whatever money they have left and what ever money rolls in from Journey, Flower and Flow sales.

I don't think GTA will. My issue with GTA has always been the game being a jack of all trades but master of nothing.
1) graphics are average at best due to scale
2) shooting mechanics are average
3) fighting mechanics are average
3) vehicle mechanics are average

Best deal Game had on yesterday (and still on now) is God of War Ascension for £15 brand new. Although I already completed it at launch, I had to buy it again.
Those who like light gun games will buy it. I bought a move and pseye for the light gun games on the ps3. Althought not as many as on the ps2, there was still plenty for me to justify a purchase with Time Crisis 4, Time Crisis 5, Dead Sea Pirates, The Shoot, House of the Dead OK, HoD3 and 4 and the Shoot as well as a few others.
Problem is people complain they want these games but then don't invest.
Well lets look at the facts:
1) cancelled XBOX support early to move onto 360
2) released 360 early although they knew it had issues, just to get a jump on Sony regardless of what it would mean to consumer.
3) denied point 2 until legally proven wrong which led to 3year extended warranty. Until then, they made customers jump through hoops.
4) charged customers to access third party subscription services whilst competitor offered it free.

Didn't realise Sleeping Dogs, Battlefield 3, Hitman Absolution, Saints Row the Third, Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect 3, VF5, DoA5 and many more came out in 2006.

The racing physics are far better in GT than Forza.

GT4 was released prior to the PS3 release so it didn't really hinder PS2 or PS3 sales. Releasing GT6 a few months or after the PS4 is released won't have the same affect and may hinder PS4 sales.

I think this is more to do with Activision not Hapy with making COD on current and Next gen platforms due to cost as well nut being happy about 1st party studios potentially making COD look like crap.
Activision will take a heavy beating if they let battlefield less the next gen fps competition. All those COD fans who haven't played another fps outside of COD will be dying what they have been missing out on and then getting them back will be a lot more difficult.
Can't compare handhelds to a home console for many reasons which is why the PS2 is king of the home consoles and the 3DS is the king of handhelds.
As bad as the Vita might be, it as either selling the same or more than the WiiU on a weekly basis and further more, when the PS4 will be released, it will get a second chance as a second screen companion. I don't see WiiU getting that same second chance.
