If destiny was the only game out it may be his or her loss but with far cry 4, SO, Lb3, CODAW, GTAV and Halo Mcc amongst other games it is Bungies loss.
I clocked in over 150hours with destiny and more if you include the alpha and bets but I just ran out of content to keep me interested. With a lack of variety in content I just couldn't be bothered anymore.
Not saying it's a bad game as it isn't or I would have never clocked in those hours, but &...
It looks like this gen almost every developer has forgotten how to bloody code or make games.
1) COD Ghosts - bugs
2) Sleeping Dogs - messy
3) Drive Club - messy
4) Halo MCC - buggy
5) ACU - buggy
6) FIFA - bugs
7) BF4 - messy
8) Destiny - unfinished
9) WD - bugs
10) ISS - unfinished (lack of content compared to previous games)
11) KZSF - same as ISS
12) Forza 5 - same as last 2

Pretty sure Grim is a timed exclusive, but they would certainly have got paid for it to cover some costs.
I don't care about new gen features, I care about complete working fun games.
The things that ring new / current gen (whatever you want to call it) are incomplete, buggy, dlc will finish it, online only will kill it when we get attacked or have issues, we will overcharge with season passes more, and journalists are becoming bigger douches and anti consumer than the likes of Activision and Ubisoft.
Next / current gen in a nutshell bar a few exception...
Looks like a journo is going around as a silent disagree fairy in the comments lol
We need to Tweet the article to Yoshida, reggie and Phil, and ask them how they feel about corruption, lack of ethics, if it hurts them and their 1st parties and # gamergate and 4theplayers.
The more of us that do it the more traction it will get. Need to be proactive.
More gamers need to start their own blogs to counter the lies and misdirection. At the moment we as gamers are hoping someone will do the job for us whilst the likes of people in the article are constantly being proactive on landing and spreading their agenda.
Excellent article!
If they are really listening they need to stop this silly annual assassins creed business.
They need 2 teams, one that makes a bi annual prince of Persian and one that makes a bi annual assassins creed. That would be much better for both ips and gamers as we will get a different game to enjoy every year.
No one is asking anyone to trust the site, and I am a playstation supporter. However, there is zero harm in taking the numbers with a grain of salt to get rough idea of where sales are at.
Besides, I find it more peculiar that sites like Kotaku, Polygon and others are still being submitted with their bouncing reviews and untrustworthy reviews.
because there is literally no other site that will give us estimate numbers / tracking information for WW sales. This is the closest free service gamers have and it isn't half as bad as people make it out to be.
You don't need to take the numbers as exact sales, as approximates they are good enough at painting a picture of how platforms are doing.
Dammit, didn't get to play mercenaries. Bought it day one but was away working in London when the game arrived through the letterbox. On my way home, someone unzipped my laptop bag and stole my psvita in the tubes. I was so happy when I got home until I realised my vita was gone.
Sounds like destiny: complete bounties of getting x amount of kills or winning x amount of games and you get rewards to unlock gear.
The game mostly caters to kids, immature people and sheep who like the same shit over and over again. There hasn't been a COD released in almost a whole decade that hasn't had glitches, bugs and server issues, yet people still buy it again and again.
The developer knows this, the gamers know this, the publishers know this and the game journalists know this. These people are made for each other and neither should expect anything more or less in terms of behaviour, res...
Regardless of what people say, the game has sold over 500k copies retail, outselling forza horizon 2 by 130k on the X1, with a week in hand, and these are numbers only up to the 25th of October. Couple that with tons more sales coming from digital purchases due to the cheaper price point, I wouldn't be surprised if the game is sitting at 700k at the moment.
If Evo get this fixed before December, there is a good chance we will see another surge in sales both digital and r...
I waited and eventually bought it a few days after release. The game is insane amounts of fun although parts are not always working if working at all. It is probably one the best arcade racer experiences I've had. The point to point races are a visual adrenaline packed joy. Buy it with the ps+ offer as it's cheaper and makes the value of the game so much better:)
I count that as a 2x killstreak - 1 headshot kill and another straight in the nuts.
OT, is it just me or are people on forums far more pessimistic about everything. They aren't gamers as much as they are whingers, whiners and complainers. How do people like this ever find happiness?!
The other problem you have now brought up is also other games that follow a similar process. DMC recently done a poor repetitive job with platforming then killing then story, so does tomb raider with go there, kill people, solve a puzzle, story and the list can go on. Far cry isn't the only game to be named.
The more important question is if the game is fun and people are enjoying it even though it may be written off as linear or repetitive, then why is it considered a ne...
There is a huge difference in telling a story and variety in missions. Far cry told a good story but without the variety of missions as you pointed out. shadow of mordor is another culprit here and even though it had a nemesis system, it didn't add anything to the lackluster story.
Whilst I agree with the lack of variety in gameplay missions, I disagree with the story argument as they are 2 completely different arguments to be had.
Loved far cry 3, and it proved that even in an open world game with tons to do you can have a good narrative running across the sandbox nature of the game.
I felt it was much better :
- U have more characters outside of the main villain that play a role in how the story turns out.
- Wing suit is awesome
- Wildlife is better
- Maps bigger
- helicopter
- More mission variety
- Climbing mechanics are awesome making g fir some amazing platforming sections
- The grapple hook sections add to platforming sections ...
