Inflation suggests everything must go up in price...... the question is, why has MS avoided price increases for over a decade?
My suspicion is that it was far higher than needed to be but a new thing, a gamble in some ways back then and Microsoft knew that if it took off, they would be raking in a huge amount of money, if it flopped it could be lowered or dropped, start off high and drop if needed. What happened is the consumer never realised the true cost of what it would take to r...
Should they charge a subscription model, YES!
When you had something for free like in PS3 days, you had no argument, little rights and the service was poor compared to their competitor the 360.
Once you start to charge for a service you have a strong voice as a consumer to demand that the service is above sub-standard, of a good quality, it is fit for purpose and if it isn't that a compensation is given in return.
The moment PSN started to charge, the argumen...
Let us not forget that a Division can be closed down or expanded dependent on how the Mother is doing, a Subsidiary tends to be sold off to a different buyer who then turns it into what they want it to be rather than what it currently is.
It means that as a Division it is in greater threat of being throttled by Sony's failure, but as a Subsidiary, if Sony is struggling, it can sell it off to another party and Google/Apple/Facebook could instead own it...... and Facebook has star...
The problem with the game is the lack of time spent playing in a Titan. There were literally some games where you would finish top of the leaderboard at the end of the game and yet never once called in a Titan because you hadn't had enough time for the meter to crawl up to earn one. Half the time I forgot I was playing Titanfall and thought I was playing COD on a Battlefield sized map when suddenly I would realise because one player managed to get a Titan.
Titans shoul...
There are several small flaws with this game but one MAJOR flaw that completely ruins it, and that is the title of the game. TITANFALL is clear.... its a game about TITANS and people are hyped about running around in big mechanized robots and kicking other robots arse and using a variety of customised weapons to do it.........
And what we actually have is a Call Of Duty clone that is 85% running around as a pilot with 15% actually getting to be in a Titan...... and that is...
The current season model is broken and punishes you too heavy for being matched up with poor players who lack teamwork skills. And doesn't reward you enough for gaining a victory. There have been some matches where I have seen the slider drop MORE for a loss, than what was gained for a Victory and that clearly is not going to encourage long term play if you are always going to go downwards and feel a worse and worse player each day. It leads to frustration and then turning off the console...
Mutiplayer only really matters on the game and how it was designed. If the game is to have lots and lots of intense space battles all the time then multiplayer would have been better than AI bot battles. Because you cant make AI play in the same good/bad/ugly way that real life people play it. However, if the focus is on exploration, survival, resource collecting/building and so on, with space combat such a small element that it becomes almost an option, then a multiplayer aspect is hardly wa...

I absolutely love the idea of Digital Download games, and to be fair most gamers love it too because they never complain about getting the free games PS/Xbox give away each month as a digital download. So the concept of Digital Downloads is actually welcomed, but there are 2 reasons valid reasons why Digital Downloads at retail is not working and it is down to these:
1 - The price of digital downloads are fixed (as they are in an App Store) by the provider. They rarely go...
Regardless of what fanboys want to say, Investors are seeing Sony as a short term investment and red-flagging the company for long term share holding.
I think it is because it is now solely reliant on the gaming division which is a fickle business. And the sheer lack of game consoles on the market shows it is a tough business to be in which requires constant heavy investment to turn any sort of profit. They have got themselves into a power-race with Microsoft and although good with ...
I dunno who keeps saying the game is dead and you can't get to play it. I am on X1 and it doesn't matter whether its day or night in the UK, there are always 36-40 players in a game. Then again I only play the big matches and dont bother with the small team games, so maybe that is where their are insufficient players?
Apparently there are rumours that after the final DLC, a 6 month wait period before it becomes gets heavily discounted with a 80% price drop (or mayb...
Absolutely love F1 2012, but more recent additions have felt poor in some ways. The handling isn't as good and they bring little new to the sport apart from the obvious cosmetic updates.
I am also disappointed by the trailer massively. It shows virtually nothing of the in-game driving, its a bunch of cut-scenes to hint towards what is in the game and the graphics are terrible. Yes they look great in terms of the visuals perfection of a lot of it..... but the characters faces are...
Nothing more than ticking another Health and Safety regulation that the EU has probably started to enforce or is going to. You can be sure that if this is something that is being quietly brought in via a new law or regulation, that Sony will also follow suit.
It is totally pointless and just treats everyone like they are in a nanny state, but if they don't implement this feature they could face massive fines.
Don't hate the player, hate the game!
Apparently the Neo is not about competing against Scorpio, nor is it about giving huge power gains for better games..... its about giving power gain in one particular area, VR. Which apparently is struggling on current console specs to some degree.
Neo may/may not come bundled with Morpheus but either way it is designed around it and make the best of it, whereas older PS4 consoles will have to sacrifice some performance to run it.
Basically it means if you are a current PS...
It depends what you class as a release these days. If you are are old school, a new release was a new game or a sequel...... but nowadays anything that is old and got one slight improvement can be called a release. So to modern day gamers and media they are new releases, because they either include the DLC or some slight graphical improvements to it and so consider it a re-packaged edition rather than backwards compatible. Its a bit like these "remastered editions" are just the same...
Remember when Betamax was superior than VHS and much better for everyone, and nobody supported it.......... that!
I feel the same way as SolidGear3. That L4D felt like a rough, half finished game to L4D2 which was the same gameplay but felt more finished.
However, I felt the multiplayer was simpler and more enjoyable in the original than it was in the sequel.
Those that say that L4D2 came out too soon after 1 and was just using the same gameplay with new features ,
It always seems to me that Valve always took too much of a blow with fans for it when you consider t...
I am actually going to go the opposite way with this and say I question the reason why on all the gameplay videos I have seen, why we have a FEMALE voiceover telling us that we have Lost/Captured Apple.
Surely if we are avoiding female soldiers because in WW1 there were rarely any, then surely a commanding officer in WW1 giving orders to the troops was even rarer?
If anything, I felt hearing her soft, almost Cortana-like voice giving information as you play, to be disjointed...
Me! I didn't overly like it, but to be fair that was more personal preference on the type of gameplay than the game itself and I still take my hat off to the developers for producing a high quality great game that people love, even if it wasn't my fave!
