Thanks, yep its col Jaok O'Neill (two L's) in the ep Window of Opportunity or what I like to refer to it as the "ground hog day episode". He was on the edge in that scene about to lose it and having to explain that term to teal'c with one excellent explanation.
"Lose it". It means, Go crazy, nuts, insane, bonzo.... No longer in possession of one's faculties. Three fries short of a Happy Meal..... Wacko!! "
"Make it or get a life" WTF kind of commentary is that? Do they actually say that on TV on golf?
I miss Links.
is some mysterious game for the 360 thats been in development for a while. Not that I care if it does go cross platform but honestly this article to "debunk" "the rumor that was posted on NG4" is the first time I have ever heard of the rumor of this going to PS3 on NG4. I probably missed it, but I just thought it was amusing. It reminds me of the infomercials where people invent something to solve a problem, that was never a problem until they invented this something t...
Lots of games require different parphials to get the full experience. In this case its the HD. All systems will be using the HD to some extent if they want to make really superior games. Since read speed from the DVD (yes even blue ray) can be a bit of a limiting factor.
This game was on my buy list when it was to be released earlier. Now the release date has been pushed back to the same week as Bioshock. Now they say the demo will be that day too. I will be kind of busy playing Bioshock then MoH and Blue Dragon. If this game demo kicks ass then I may pick it up but otherwise it will be relegated to my get later list...when the game storm has subsided.
Not only will such a move not make me buy an updated version of their game. It will make me skip their games altogether. Only hope is that Peter Moore turns it around. Or that the consoles themselves come out with some first person sports games (but I suspect they fear EAs wrath if they do that...whoever acted first would suddenly find the other console to have a bunch of EA exclusives). Someone needs to grow a pair and face down EA with some really excellent alternatives.
While I wouldn't count Just Cause as among the best under $30 it is certainly a fun game to play if you pick it up cheap. Very easy to play and the scenery is nice enough to fly\parachute around in. Decent mindless fun. If I had payed full price I may have been a bit annoyed though.
I enjoyed the 2k demo a great deal more then the NCAA 08 demo and I suspect more then I will enjoy Madden. I have also heard nothing but great things from the people I know who purchased APF and actually played it. However, the lack of fanchise and the empathis on overrated real fromer NFL players makes it hard for me to justify a buy of APF2k8 at full price. While its the the crpyness\lazyness and lack of attention to detail of EA that makes it hard for me to justify buying NCAA or Madden...
I voted for Condemned because it was a great game. I went into it not expecting much but it really suprised me and was a really good time.
But my list of the best 5 of the ones they listed that I have played would be:
COD2
GRAW
Condemned
Kameo
PGR 3
Although I have not played several others which I should pick up such as Burnout: Revenge. I am still waiting for FEAR to drop in price though.
But maybe that will give them the time to polish this into an AAA title.
If the game is done in the fourth quarter they can have a huge forth quarter and it really helps setup the first quarter in which GTA (well would have) and COD will score high for them.
The last reason is just silly. Halo does have its own visual style and no one should ever expected that it would look like Gears. It is also SUPPOSED to be a sequel to the previous games not some brand new revolution in gaming. To expect differently is to be expecting a different game, not Ha...
WTF, is that Magnum PI music? Or A-Team? I feel like I just went back in time....isnt that a bad feeling for a "next gen" game?
Oh well, I will look at the game when I can see some actual gameplay, but I really think they should rethink this marketing. Of course I guess a lot of the people watching this probably never watched 70-early 80s TV so maybe it will work for them.
What kills it for me is no franchise. I build a team with some overrated players and some no bodies, play a season, have to start over and build another team.
I wish there were no legends (except maybe as unlockables) that you just had a selection of players like in NCAA (yes I know they are supposed to be someone, but prove it), that you could build your team and then use drafting\recruiting to continue to make your team better.
Sure I may never get around to p...
Can't wait to get my hands on it and try it out myself.
Overlord is a 360\PC game that is a cross between Pikmin and Fable. It is great fun. You get to be an overlord and control 4 types of minions to solve puzzles, rebuild your tower and defeat the 7 heros who destroyed the old overlord.
The game stoping bug is easy to avoid if you are aware of it. I didnt even come across it before I was aware of it due to how I play games for long stretches. However a patch and some downloadable content would be welcome. I have put in over 9...
Branch Annimation. Guy must of said it 16 times in one segment.
My prediction of the result of the oh so touted branch annimation...Same old sht different $60.
I will give it a go though as in the demo. I will decide after maddens release which of the 3 football games to get. If NCAA is any indication though its probably not going to be an EA game. Its sad when next gen football makes you pine for the days of last gen football. I hope Peter Moore can help E...
I have never really been into JRPG but I will be trying a couple this year to see if my prejugement of the genera was incorrect. This game certainly looks pretty enough more so then BD but not as much my style as say Lost Oddessey (of course this is just judging from trailers).
People seem to say the xbox needs more then just shooters (not me I love shooters) so here you go. This certainly continues the 360's trend of a more diverse game library.
I am getting the game regardless but I wouldnt count on that being what the graphics really look like. Halo, is Halo. It has its own style and is not really meant to compete with the likes of Gears in graphics. We will see if I am proven wrong though. I just dont want anyone all expecting one thing and then being dissappointed. Assume the graphics will look like a better version of what you saw on the multiplayer and then anything beyond that will be a pleasant suprise. The important ...
Even if this is true it doesnt necessarily mean anything. I mean if a respected japanese gamesite reviewed BD and liked it then I assume they know thier JRPG and it is good at being that. It doesnt mean everyone will like it just means it was to the taste of the reviewer and met his JRPG expectations.
The only time a review should affect your buying choice IMHO is if it there is a consensus view of the game as a low quality or unfun and if you know and respect the opinion o...
Wow may we actually see this game in my lifetime? I was starting to doubt it.
