Looks like you wont lose no matter which console you get it for and thats how it should be for third party games. Props to the devs.
Means people will buy new IPs if they are good, fun, great looking games.
I have actually been waiting for this one. Especially after the letter to the editor in a newspaper the other day called for the banning of fireplace woodsmoke because its bad for your health (like cigeretts). Eventually everything will be band because everything offends someone or causes global warming... thus is the arrogance of humans. Fly specs in the Ocean thinking we are more important then we are.
Oh yes, Video games cause global warming and is bad "for the childe...
I only have interest in two of those games and I played those.
Darkness was good, but only a one playthough for me, put me off somehow, too creapy or something, idunno.
Overlord was great, played it twice and will play it again.
I do have Orange box but got bored with HL2 so have never played portal. Will get around to playing it sometime I guess.
Wow, I keep forgetting about a lot of these. Its a nice list. Fallout 3 FTW...or maybe Fable 2 (I actually liked Fable 1 too bad it was so short)...
What about Dungeon Hero? Wasnt that going to be on 360 that looked interesting. Also, I think Two Human is listed as an action game like Heavenly Sword or Devil May Cry, even though it has more character customization.
I think I agree with him on the KOTOR NPC having a little more relavent things to say in the field. They also had a set "character" so their reactions would be based on their set alignment. It seems like I remember clicking on the KOTOR NPC after every choice I made to gage their reactions.
In ME (which is a great game btw) the NPC rarely have anything to say about what is going on and no reaction to things you did, other then the occasional scripted reaction. Also...
As long as its a great game and doesnt make any too obvious "political commentary" then I will buy it no matter what era its in. However, that said I was quite impressed with COD4 and the weapons you got to use so I would love to see a follow up on this. But then I guess I got the Tom Clancy games for that... but then COD is a bit different then those games.... ah its a tough choice just make an excellent game and I will buy it.
Its cheap and many many of the talking heads on TV have mentioned they have it causing their viewers to go out and get one even though they dont really need it and mostly wont use it but think its the right buy for their kids. Add that to the die hard nintendo fans and the die hard gamers who want every console (or just one for parties that their casual friends will enjoy) and boom you have big hardware sales.
However you also have less software sales. A few games will sat...
Cool crackdown and Overlord are both getting some love.
Serious Biotic manipulation there. Who knew element zero was so dangerous it actually causes physical mutations!
$129. I need to get a good list of movies in HD-DVD. I wasnt going to get either player as I feel neither will "win the war" as they are quickely replaced by better technologies. Thats the primary difference between this and the Beta\VHS war, there are other, better technologies right on the doorstep. BlueRay\HD-DVD are just the doormat.
My opinion of the game grew much higher the longer I played. The story is great. It took me about 40 hours on first play through and I am gladly starting my second play through. Is it GOTY? Well I guess it depends on what you look for in a GOTY. It does have a few technical glitches, load-times and slowdowns but it is an overall enjoyable game. However if you do not like RPGs (ie actually doing something beside shooting or jumping) you probably wont like this game, there is a boat load...
If you remove Gamespot then you need to remove almost all the major game sites and especially the magazines. Especially anything that has Sony, microsoft or nintendo references like Playstation magazine or OXM. Or any TV show like gamehead and xplay.... The only sites that you would have left are the little "independant" sites, which are just mostly fanboys spreading their own opinion so why is that better?
Gamespots reviews are almost always in line with other revi...
Some type of animal urin.
Ok joking (and taking my life in my hands as all the cafeen hyped Mountain Dew people may now start hunting me down)... its kind of a lemony, really sweet, really high in cafeen drink.
Seemed like a reasonable review to me. Its not like he said "OMFG THIS GAME SUX DONT BUY EVER!!!!!!". What he said is, he didnt like the story, didnt find any of the characters engaging and the script was bad but the voice acting was OK. He didnt like how the game mechanics were executed but there were some good ideas the developers just didnt pull it off and it may be because they were lazy (not like players havent been saying that about certain gamemakers for a while). He said...
Gamespots reviews are almost always on par with other gamesites and user reviews. Recently since their change to a .5 system their reviews have been lower a bit lower then many other sites. There are a few exceptions but that could be just reviewer personal taste (i.e. I mean a person who doesnt like platformers reviewing a platformer).
I dont know the reason Gerstmann fired just what the rumors say. I do know that users on the forums have complained about him for years. I...
A guy that writes his opinion for a living having a problem with another person having an opinion. Also funny how some people think other people are talking about them.
As for assassins, I actually had a good time with it. Its better then some games in some respects and worse in others. In the end I felt it was a good game but not necessarily a great game. I would give it around an 8.
What this review does right: It makes a few legitimate points.
What the review does wrong: I grew bored with it and stopped reading because he just kept saying the same thing over and over.
For the most part I enjoyed the game (more then this review). What it did right mostly outweighed what it did wrong. It’s not perfect, not even superb but it is better then many other games.
Perfect Dark Zero is not on this list, this list is a zero.
I think it will be Bioshock again as its a bit "different" then COD4. COD4 is awesome but is essentially the same as the other CODs just with cooler weapons, cooler graphics, better AI, different story...but its still essentially COD.
Assassins creed is a good game and I think came close to being a great came but they juuuusssttt missed.
Halo3 again is Halo. Halo is great but its still Halo.
Mario Galaxy is Mario. I haven’t played it...
