Does anyone actually care what these guys think? I mean if it was like your favorite UFC guy I guess I could kind of see it... or if it was one known for his gaming ... but these are just middle of the road, never will amount to much guys AND their probably getting paid since Ubi had Matt Serra doing a special "sneak peak" of the game on Ultimate Fighter.
The game isnt bad its just not going to be everyones cup of tea nor is it a game anyone can pick up at anytime. ...
This game wasnt cancelled!?!? I had scratched it off my list as I never expected it to see the light of day.
No love for the Hammer of Dawn? I felt it was pretty unique among weapons...calling in a satilite strike and all. Of course you could only use it in certain sections of the game and its kind of slow for MP but still its pretty freaking cool.
Yes all I have to do is remember that one review to remember how "useful" reviews really are. They are matters of opinion.
There are plenty of games that Gamespot have given 6-7 to that I found quite fun. There are games that they have given 8-9 to that I have absolutly no use for.
I never expected Timeshift to be an AAA title, I would have thought this game was on par with say Fear though. I wonder if it would have scored better had it come out...
You couldn't pay me to play another Perfect Dark game. If that is MS "big game" for next year, then they truely put all their eggs in this years basket. PDZ was HORRIBLE not just "wasn't great" and by far the worst launch game. Gun was better so was Quake IV and that had last gen graphics with frame rate issues, but atleast it was tolerable.
There are whole bunches of people killing others and poudly proclaiming its their religion (all sorts of different people from different religions). Maybe they should ban that first since it is far more prevelant then video games. Once Jackie boy and the others who use the religion to beat down other people have their issues resolved then we can tackle video games.

They pretty much had to put COD4 as #1 to maintain any credibility so I do agree with that one and I am looking forward to Turok and wouldnt mind Cysis if it was on a console (I just dont want to mess with my computer for games anymore).

You know, I like Halo well enough but I wonder if it is striking a cord with the general public this time because its so freaking easy?
I mean Gears was pretty easy too and lots of non gamers were pulled in with that one. Oblivion was a lot easier then Morrowind and got more acclaime. Bioshock? Yep that can be easy (although kind of hard if you dont let yourself use the vita chambers).
So does easy = good for the general public?

What do you think will happen to them for not liking the game as much as others? You think MS is going to send the scary black helicopters after them? Maybe a master cheif or two? Or do you think rabid Halo fans will storm their facility? Eh, either way, IGN and Gamespot and gamepro and about every other site I have actually ever heard about has given it high scores, as have the people I know who have actually played it. I guess I will assume the game is actually good and play it myself and see if my opinion changes.
Cool, however no matter what the reviews say just keep in mind that these are opinions. I expect the game to be excellent like the other Halo games and will be picking it up. I probably wont think its the best game ever released on the 360 because there are so many other excellent games that have been released (COD2, Oblivion, Gears, Forza, Bioshock, Crackdown... Overlord :-)...and others) but I could be wrong so I will judge for myself when I get it.

Hey Kingdom Under Fire... I wondered where that went, havent heard a peep about it lately.
I have never spent one minute "dreding getting the red ring of death" any more then I have been dreading the supposedly inevitable light engine failure ("green blob") on my Sony SXRD. My feeling has always been if it happens it happens and it will quickly be dealt with. In the mean time I will just have a great bit of fun playing all these great games.
BTW the 360 is still running just as good as it did the day I got it the Sony SXRD now has the yellow lin...

I assume this is because non-gamers are trying to buy for their gamer kids, family, friends. I mean its never even the best racer on the consoles let alone the best game out right now.
