Unfortunately, everyone does it now. EA does it, Activision does it, Sony does it, Microsoft does it(hell, they started it in this gen!). Using a demo to push pre-order sales is just common practice in this gen now: unfortunately. I totally agree that demos should convince people to put down money for the full-thing: not the other way around. Putting money down for a demo that also comes with the full thing.
However, I disagree that putting up a demo for pre-order bonus is Sony &...
Man, the 360 Version's got my vote. The pictures speak for themselves. Disappointing that 3 years later: Capcom still can't get PS3 development right. I'd hate to see how Dead Rising would look on PS3. For all we know, half the zombies will be missing in the PS3 Version.
Putting RGB in Full won't solve everything unless your TV sets supports the full RGB scale. Otherwise you'll get the White/Black crush and make your picture look muddy.
I fell for the Wii scam :(
Well this is expected, FEAR 2 takes command of a different "Pointman", so I can imagine it's easy to discredit the expansions. That sucks, I actually thought Extraction Point was well done, but Perseus Mandate was a PoS.
Haven't you realized? People don't read articles, or listen to podcasts. They base everything off of what the title says and jumps straight to the Gamer Zone.
Granted, HHG does come up with some ridiculous titles at times: that's his achilles heel. He needs to come up with better, well-thought out titles that takes a critical stance that won't piss off the other side.
I live in a community that's mixed with alot of black, indian, white, asian, and hispanic people. Granted we live in a lower-class community, but I have no problem with the say he talks. It's like disapproving someone's intellect just because their English sounds like a southern-accent. "And we all know dem swamp-peeple shuld be ****ing der cusins right and arnt to smart?"
Hopefully, you're not calling him a wannabe gangster solely based on the way he talks, cause that'...
Bigotry & Stereotype FTL.
You obviously didn't watch the podcast, so why are you here?
This is why the disagree/agree system is broken. What a selfish act and entirely thoughtless as well that contradicts why the system was put in place to begin with. Are you going to start disapproving of business cards that have a slogan at the bottom as well?
same logic, different execution.
something tells me you didn't even listen to the podcast.
You get bubbles because we need more opinions like this in the Open Zone.
hey, thanks alot! +bubbles.
I had a genuine interest in Folklore after the demo, but I just can't find the heart to drop $60 on this game, when I can find games that offer much more value for the dollar: unfortunately they also happen to be FPSs as well.Shameful I know.
If Folklore was $30: I'd grab it immediately.
If Intel were to give Nvidia the cold shoulder; Nvidia can easily go to AMD and that would work out well seeing as how AMD has a genuine business interest in the GPU market. AMD and Nvidia can co-create a new gaming platform that completely ignores Intel, and therefore would start cutting into Intel's marketshare, while shifting everything over to AMD, and allows Nvidia some place to really expand at the cost of cutting back some of AMD's GPU marketshare to make way for Nvidia.
I...
The first FEAR had subtitles: English Subtitles anyways. I know cause I used them for every FEAR game.
As a FEAR Fan, I disagree with this article. The ports isn't what killed FEAR. It was Perseus Mandate: Gawd-awful expansion and the fact that we've been waiting since '06 for a proper sequel after the more proper expansion Extraction point. When FEAR 2 drops for the PC: the fans will come back. Console ports be damned.
Same gameplay as KZ1? That's music to mah ears.
I love Killzone 1 and consider it my #1 FPS of all time. I can't count how many times I've replayed it because the gameplay was fun. It would be a crime to play KZ2 without first playing KZ1, and KZ:L.
It's a shame that the new wave of KZ2 fans weren't fans of the first KZ1. I can already anticipate the wave of whiners that say the story didn't make sense or that Rico sucked blah blah when they don't even know where Rico came from to begin with.
I call BS on this article. Why no pictures? Or any witty anecdotes? I sense an attention-whore at work.
'nuff said.
