It's a good thing that Intel, AMD, and Nvidia were able to work out their differences. Can't imagine the corporate politics risking the most widespread standard to ever grace computer-based electronics because Intel decided to be a little punk for a short time.

I agree with the article. I don't like the camera angles because I have to push down on the analog stick just to see ahead of me when that should be the default to begin with. I can't imagine how much time I could've saved if I was able to see over my hood without pushing down on the analog stick.

It's just simply different details in different areas and it appeals to different people. Personally, I like how the rag-dolls work in Killzone 2. Physics-based calculations with a combination of mo-cap, hit-detection, and force application to render a realistic way of interacting with the environment is definitely a step forward for our industry. I would consider Crysis of being short in that respect but only because of Germany's strict censorship on violent acts depicted in video games: whi...

I disagree, that would totally go against what the scene stands for. It's the fact that we, as owners, can do whatever want without anyone telling us what to do that makes the scene what it is. You can bet that if Microsoft ever got their hands on the original Xbox Media Center that talented members of the scene created. Microsoft would be telling the XBMC team what to do, and how to do it. Follow these standards, don't do these things and so forth. It's the the very fact that people are able...

I have Vista Home Premium and it works great on my machine! Granted I have Quad-Core and 4 Gigs of RAM, but it's a gaming machine to start with. As long as Vista works right, I've no complaints. I upgraded because I wanted to test out the new NTFS tweaks and boy was it worth it! 36MB on a SATA 7200RPM!

Also, it's nice knowing at what exact MB/s my files are transferring at.

Well, I'm just glad that they found a job again, sorta. It sucks not having a job in these times. Fanboy or not. Everyone's still a person out the outside that has to eat, sleep, and uh.....hm.

2nd Player can't save their stats: which automatically means that split-screen serves little point. Why play with a friend over if in the end, only you gain XP? It's no fun being 2nd player because you're always Level 1! A Lvl 12 medic is infinitely more useful than a lvl 1 medic!

While cooperative in general is the best part about R2: the split-screen function is not. I bought the game for split-screen co-op and this doesn't deliver.

The debate is which game looks better, not how much can you get for your buck. Just because you can get Killzone 2 at a cheaper cost than it takes to build a Crysis-worthy PC doesn't mean Killzone 2 and any of the other games you've listed looks better than Crysis. It just means you can play Killzone 2 with less complications.

It's not. Killzone 2 is an incredibly good-looking game, however just no. Console Games will never look better than PC Games. EVER. People are confusing graphical prowess with art-direction: and this simply isn't the case. Art-Direction is always debatable, but in terms of sheer graphical prowess like 2048x1536 resolution, 100% Dynamic Shadows, 8x AA, 100% Dynamic Lighting, Fully-Destructible Environment, Insane Layer of Depth(LoD), and a game that's comparable to real-life: there isn't anyth...

For MGS4, it's not about how much technical details you can cram on-screen like Killzone 2. But it's the art direction and execution that really passes it. Let's just say as a long time MGS Veteran. MGS4 was just...bliss. It accomplishes something that far surpasses what critics can say. In order to appreciate MGS4: you have to be a long time MGS Veteran like myself. It's unfortunate that many people aren't like myself which is why they ask themselves how MGS4 can be compared to Killzone 2 on...

...and so is the Wii, what's your point?

All I need to hear now is some sort of campaign co-op and I'll be set. I stopped buying FPS games like Killzone 2 that aren't co-op. You can thank the disappointment that is Resistance 2 for that. Split-screen co-op on R2 is really....bad. Like "broken" bad.

A store goes out of business which means workers will get laid off. Customers however get great deals on products because the store is going out of business. However unless customers have the money to bail out said company: the only way to help ease the liquidation process is to buy as much as you can from the company that's going under. It's a very ironic circle.

I however prefer to pay what I think is the appropriate worth of an item. I won't ever pay $100 for a THX 5.1 surroun...
