WKC is more japanese oriented.
MGS4 is more western oriented. (the only asian person was Mei Ling!)

People act like this is rocket science. Japanese games made for japanese people tend to get japanese people to buy japanese games. Articles point out the super obvious sometimes.

For some reason, I don't think a sarcastic person would even make that kind of comment. I suggest you change it.

MGS4 didn't have pre-rendered CGI. It's simply pre-rendered. It's basically using your in-game engine in an outside environment like a supercomputer/SDKs to render the rest of your work: then that footage is recorded and used as a cut-scene so that the PS3 isn't doing the work, but just streaming the footage. Although just to clear things up. MGS4 used 1-2 pre-rendered cutscenes out of the entire pack: so I'd still consider it acceptable. The same goes with Gears 1/2: 1-2 out of the 20 real-t...

I agree with you and that doesn't make sense or excuse Microsoft from pushing out low-grade products. However the masses have spoken and times have changed. If a 360 breaks, go buy a new one. If a PS3 breaks, complain until Sony gives you a new one.

It's a problem with society that loves wasting everything. When things are cheap, you're less likely to care. If they're expensive, you're more likely to care. What people never account for is the amount of electronic trash that ends ...

People should realize that even movies use supercomputers to achieve high visual fidelity all the time. Whether it's sound effects, modeling, down to high-class graphical simulators that developers pay by the hour to use.

I don't blame Guerrilla for choosing to go this route one bit. In fact, by doing this: they can significantly shorten their development time and get the game out sooner to make some money because instead of trying fiddle with resources to pick out the right ones...

When 360s go for like $110 on Ebay; I think the larger market just stopped caring. As long as they can get a console for a cheap price above the Wii: then it's all good. I personally don't have a Falcon. Don't need one. A downsize from 90nm to 65mn is about 5-7'C for most 360s difference. My room temperature is too erratic to really consider Jasper a proper solution.

It's simple really.

Internet Hype vs. Real-Life Hype.

I haven't seen any movie-cinematic ads in movie theaters for Killzone 2. I don't see entire buildings in New York and the subway being painted with Killzone 2 advertising. I also don't see every gaming store holding midnight launchers for Killzone 2. I definitely don't see Mountain Dew making a exclusive flavor in Killzone 2's name. I'm definitely, absolutely not seeing Killzone 2 selling over 1 million in pre-ord...

Sure it's real-time, but pre-rendered cut-scenes is just as bad as CGI because it allows the fanboys to nitpick certain aspects and that sparks turns into something messy: like this.

"OMG! Intro Video is pre-rendered. PS3 CAN'T HANDLE IT! 360 FTW!"

I don't believe for one second that the intro-video shown as CES '09 was rendering all of that in real-time on the PS3. I do believe that the video is using the KZ2 engine though on a supercomputer due to limitat...

12, you need to play Far Cry 2. Period.

So the ending didn't really surprised me. In fact, I would rather prefer it this way because then it makes transitioning into the sequel that much easier, than as if you supposibly "ended" the game and then suddenly you get picked up again. At least I can say I actually like a woman in gaming if they can produce a game as deep as Assassin's Creed. If you know your history: you can tell alot of thought went into the story to make sense of it all.

And I'm glad I played it...

G, I think you might've gone too far with the Gates Foundation. But other than that, great stuff! Keep it up.

...otherwise I might not get Killzone 2 on Day 1. I have a severe lackage of co-op games. Although hoping for Split-screen co-op is probably out the door. My 2nd DS3 is gathering dust.

Just uttering the words "Guerrilla" and anything that can mean negative things will earn you the wrath of the SDF.

Dude, that last part about Crytek is just ****ed up.

Why can't people just let this go? Consoles can never compete with PCs if both sides are pushing their respective hardware to the max. PCs always win in terms of sheer graphical prowess, there's nothing to debate about.

I'd rather play Crysis on PC. KB/M controls feel more appropriate for this game.

no it's not. It's FC2.

You just slammed my head with you wall of text. Like Tetris Slam! But I did read everything and I agree. Although, I wouldn't use Ubuntu....

Mandriva 4 life! Also according to Microsoft, ME doesn't exist.

Aw. I'd like Blu-Ray for my 360...but then I'd have 2 gaming consoles that can do Blu-Ray. Nevermind I guess....
