I know PSN uses dedicated servers. I was playing R2 the other day. But competitive really isn't my thing. I tried the competitive in CoD4, R2, MGO but it just never caught on. The last competitive MP that I liked alot was Halo 3.
If I remember, I'll be sure to PM you a picture of the game in hand with a receipt/invoice that states I bought it for $30.
I only play co-op and horde on Gears 2. I never go into the public matches like Warzone because of that lag.
The only new bar they are setting is graphics. If I could pick between co-op or graphics. I'd pick co-op every single time. Or better yet, split-screen co-op. The way I see it, graphics is no reason to skimp on co-op. Gears 2 looks great, plays great, and it has split-screen co-op. I always base my purchases on the offline experience before online.
It's back to Gears 2 I guess. 3 years from now, I won't even remember KZ2 anymore: but I can still pick up Gears 2 and play that with my friends. I hate online-driven games. What happens when the servers die? You basically have half a game and that's how much I think it's worth now.
$30 KZ2 copy: here I come!
It's a business. The comments here are just outright retarded sometimes.
Man, I'm surprised that people still get BSODs with Vista. I'm pretty clean. My only BSOD was with Left4Dead and it's been documented that Left4Dead has some issues.
Or did we suddenly forget CoD4 bricking PS3s worldwide due to GPU Overheating.
I couldn't give a sh1t about Bush or Obama. I'm pissed that the author has the balls to use words like "Communist" so loosely like it's a common insult and to compare it to us video-gamers no doubt like your typical political-know-it-all. If you agree that video-gamers are Communists well, then me and you will have a problem on a personal level.
Wow, I'd love to meet this author so I can smack him one for comparing me to a communist.
Woman who struck her dog with a Wii-mote and doesn't feel enough remorse afterwards to maybe consider putting down the Wii-mote and looking after her dog some more. But instead continues to play Wii and simply putting a band-aid on the problem by simply disallowing the dog into the room while they're playing Wii.
Pathetic b1tch.
Here here.
Sweet, I definitely meet the recommended specs. FEAR 2 can only be truly experienced on the PC. Consoles be damned.
Unicron, I agree with you and I was already aware of the differences between hate and criticism. However if you read the first few posts in the Gamer Zone, you might not say that they were "critiquing" the game. They just sounded like they were outright hating on the game and sound like they never played the game, or if they did: they probably had a PS3 shoved up their ass. It does a disservice to the people Epic Games that worked hard to make Gears 2 and does an even greater disser...
Great read! +bubbles. It makes more sense now.
You guys seriously hate the game that much? I thought it was great for what it was and that's it. I don't expect any game to truimph any other from a completely different genre of games: TPS =/= FPS. I don't play games with the intention of looking for glitches or critiquing the game. I play to simply enjoy it.
The haters here sound like they spend more time looking for more bad things to say than good things and it's that pre-notion that leads to ignorance. I seriously doubt any...
I would love to compare a install-less 360 disc vs a PS3 Install'ed vs a NXE Install. Future Forecast? (1 being the fastest, 3 being the slowest)
1. NXE Version.
2. 360 Version.
3. PS3 Version.
I look forward to Windows 7 and see what Microsoft can do. If Windows 7 can successfully optimize their OS for Solid State Disks and succeed DirectX 11: I can imagine Windows 7 overtaking Windows XP in a matter of years. Golden Rule of Electronics and Computer Technology is Moore's Law.
Never forget that fact.
I wouldn't underestimate Microsoft though. There's a reason they were able to hold majority marketshare for over 20 years and it wasn't because Apple didn't try.
Well, from my own experience. When you draw out production plans. You usually have everything planned out from Mo-cap sessions, to studio recording, to modeling in between. Like Trophies: I'm betting that co-op didn't become a consideration until after 2007 by which GG probably considered it to be "too costly" to alter production plans because you pay in advance to rent out studios for a certain time and changing it would cost more money. IT's not like every single developer has the...
Ok, I spent about $1500 in parts as well. What's your point?
