Black Adam!? No wai! Oh man. This game :)
When I was a kid watching an old video game show called Cybernet I once saw a tank game (Panzer something) and thereafter thought a Tank Combat game would be the coolest thing ever.
Now, it's not up my alley, but if that little kid ever wakes up and decides that's what he wants, this looks great for that.
I hope it succeeds because it's kind of niche and niche games that are as accessible to all players as opening up a web page could do so w...
@WrAiTh Sp3cTr3 I was being sarcastic, buddy. It's just amusing to see news related to Pitchford that isn't related to the Aliens: Colonial Marines debacle so soon after it all.
So I thought I'd take a jab. :P
I'd think Randy Pitchford would be more excited about how much less likely Gearbox Software are to secure high profile licensed titles in the future.
You literally don't understand the meaning of the word "literally". :P
Quite a few, actually, but I get your point. Inventive and memorable map design for multiplayer shooters is a bit uncommon these days.
Like, I enjoyed High Rise back in the day when I still played MW2, but it's no Morpheus.
EDIT: Double post. My bad.
@asbuwango
It's not about tech specs, it's about how the product is sustained with the experience it delivers and how it's all marketed and sold. The PS 4 Eye can use telekinesis for all I care, but in the end they are making motion gaming more central to the Playstation brand and considering what a popular trend Kinect has become, to say they would not show some inspiration by it in their execution is to imply that they're not aiming for that market Microsoft a...
I agree, I would definitely welcome it too.
I think the golden opportunity missed here is that, if a female protagonist were included as one of the three leads, players wouldn't be obliged to experience GTA V from that perspective entirely. The game would let you play your chosen character at will and cycle between certain characters perspectives as compulsory for specific portions of the game.
One needs only look at the stats Bioware/EA released fo...
What Kinect delivers is a different experience to Wii's Motion Plus or PS3's Eye Camera. Both the PS3 and Wii are dependant on peripherals or physical controls for their motion gaming to work.
The tech may be similar but the concept and execution results in a different end product.
A lot of people rag on about "so and so patented this first so everyone's copying them". That's not how it works. Sony launched the PS Eye last gen ...
While I agree for the most part that it's a little short sighted to rule out the next Xbox before it's official details have been released, I don't think it's unreasonable.
Most gamers have already chosen their sides, for similar reasons. They know what they like and what they trust.
I think the disagreement in the comments stem from the fact that there are still quite a few gamers undecided.
I thought Sony set the ba...
"Far Cry 2 stomped a mud hole in Crysis 2's ass. Dude,
you have no clue of what you are talking about. Lets try
to keep things real around here."
Seriously? No.
Crysis 2 may have been a linear action frenzy with more flash than substance, but it was playable from beginning to end in at least the most primitive way an FPS game can be.
Far Cry 2 was an ambitious effort and a great concept, but the end res...
You know, I think we're gonna see better quality launch titles across all platfoms when next gen has properly rolled in.
@trenso1
You're more than entitled to your own opinion and preferences. Point is that puzzle solving in FPS games may not seem fun to you, but Half Life and Portal stand as two great examples of FPS puzzle games. In Half Life's case it's more action and adventure with the puzzle solving being another entertaining way to break up the flow.
Not disregarding your own preference, but those two titles are considered some of the best games out the...
Portal, Prey and Half Life say "Hi".
Wow. That is bad. I hope the local communities take it upon themselves to make a fuss about this, 'round my side of the world we get discounts on average of 10% and upwards on new release games with different retailers competing between discounts and pre order bonuses.
I love news like this because where I work I get A LOT of customers telling me "Nah, I can get it much cheaper abroad" and India is one of the many countries I've heard mentioned.

I expect most RPG developers to build on what's already there, while a few might surprise us.
I really want to see RPGs get built with better quality in other areas. Hack and slash RPGs that have fluid, responsive combat, for example.
But that's never really been a necessity, the necessity in most RPGs has always been story and story telling and I hope to see RPG developers push story telling to another level in the future.
This is a rant article and it only answers it's own question seriously in the last few lines, with the most of it being mostly a negative review of the Destiny press event.
Honestly, the author of this article writes well but fails to enlighten us as to why, when many publishers decide their games should skip the PC platform (or at least be delayed) Destiny should be on PC, as the title implies.
There's a potentially good article in the question the t...
Too bad. I'm kinda still interested in this game, I enjoyed Tropico 3 and 4, not because they were revolutionary, but because they dared to bring a genre that's predomindantly on PC to consoles and at least make a playable game.
I wish well for developers of this sort.
Its not entirely that black and white.
Paying for exclusivity in certain circumstances is advantageous. Where the new generation of consoles is concerned, it can attract a larger install base than it may have otherwise.
What some people consider "being suckered in", where marketing is concerned, is known as establishing a brand.
Quite honestly, the majority of earning and spending video game consumers are bought by companies...
