It could sell at least another 5 million at that price point.

Hell, if they repackaged it with some sort of motion sensing controller, it could be some serious competition for the Wii. Actually, it already is.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. Sony has found the perfect stride as far as console lifespans go. Seven years and counting is astounding. I will never forget all of the great games I played on my PS2.

Microsoft should probably mark down the price on all of those Halo edition 360's. They are the only ones that are left in stock here in Norfolk at the Exchange and there are A LOT of them (At least thirty).
I know that doesn't really sound feasible but what else can you do with them?

Is this the case anywhere else?

Nevertheless, I will own The Last Remnant the day it comes out if this is true.

The demo never worked for me. In fact, I don't even think Capcom tried to fix the demo because a LOT of people never even got to play the game.

I deleted it after about ten minutes of being unable to either join a game or create one.

So buying into a new format with my PS3 didn't seem like a big deal at all.

While the price was the biggest negative (and only negative in my opinion) because of having a blu-ray drive, it's really working out now in the long run. Sony has essentially "won" a war with the PS3, and it wasn't even the console war. How crazy is that?

Somebody deserves a big bonus this year for some great forward thinking, and i'm betting his initials are K.K.

That he won't be involved in making the PS3?

Someone needs to send Ken some flowers with a card, along with a check with a bunch of zeroes.

Oh, how I wish that were true.

I would like to know where you were going for all of your news, because it was obviously a much brighter place for Sony than everywhere else.

This site ESPECIALLY had nothing but bad news for a long time after I bought my PS3 soon after launch. I was actually starting to question my purchase for a little while because there honestly was a couple of months where there were no new games to play.

Then, I got into the W...

I've been in line behind "the pokemon kid." You'll stand in line for half an hour while he asks about everything pokemon while you wait to pay for your game that takes all of thirty seconds. The only thing worse than them are the dreaded "pokemon parents" because they really don't know anything.

And the used game prices are ridiculous. I went into a Gamestop a few days ago planning on buying a used copy of Motorstorm, and left quickly after seeing a price ta...

Anyone that wants to invest in HD movies now would be crazy to not get a PS3 as a blu-ray player in comparison to the more expensive alternatives.

I remember the PS2 was my first DVD player. Deja vu.

The same news coming from a different site does not justify a new story. This is when contributors need to link news to the original.

I honestly don't even remember anymore. My wife showed me a website that made avatars specifically for myspace (I don't even have a myspace page) and as soon as I saw it I used it for my avatar. That was over a year ago though. Wish I could tell you. It's pretty fitting for this website and it's neutral.

It can be updated for future blu-ray updates. Something almost all other blu-ray players cannot do. And seriously, the lack of games argument is dead and gone. Trust me. My wallet knows this for a fact.

And seriously, how much do you think a blu-ray add-on for the 360 would sale for? I'm guessing somewhere in the $300 range. Anyone that doesn't want to spend an extra $100 for a PS3 that does so much more than a stand-alone would be an uninformed consumer.

I don'...

Wouldn't you rather spend a little more and just get the PS3? If the roles were reversed, I would definitely just buy the other console rather than an add-on. I realize it would be more, but I'm guessing a blu-ray add-on for the 360 would be rather costly.

I know Sony can't make a licensing fee for Microsoft out of thin air. You're not telling anyone on here anything most of us don't already know.

And seriously, I laughed when I read this:

"there is no losers in the format war"

Yeah, tell that to whoever's in charge of accounting for Toshiba.

6563d ago 18 agree1 disagreeView comment

But someone is making money off of the format and the people who want to make it, hence licensing fees. I have a really hard time believing that Sony isn't making something off of blu-ray as a format.

Oh, and absolutely nothing against you, but I never look at sources when they're from a wiki page. Guess it's a habit from college. Most unreliable sources ever, and absolutely banned in anything professional.

You might not get that 108" plasma that you want, but you could definitely get a deserving hdtv cheap nowadays.

In fact, three years ago I bought my first HDTV (30" Widescreen Sanyo) for only $500. It even had an HDMI port. I actually sold it to a friend of mine for only $100 who I visited yesterday. He was playing Burnout on it and I was really surprised by how great it looked on it.

Here's a thought. Try looking for local sellers in your area selling ...

It might have been on the second page. I agree with you though. An add-on would be a great idea. An internal blu-ray drive would be the exact opposite.

6563d ago 2 agree4 disagreeView comment

Sony won't stop anyone from making a blu-ray player, because they'll collect royalties. It's anything but "public domain." More like a cash cow for Sony.

Also, while i can see an add-on being released, I seriously doubt Microsoft would release a 360 with an internal blu-ray drive.

On a side note, is that all one sentence?
