I might post about this a lot but it's only because i'm in shock. My 360 broke within FOUR DAYS after I bought it. I just can't believe it happened so soon.
FOUR DAYS! I didn't even get the RROD. I guess they did fix the RROD because mine just froze completely within minutes of startup 15 times in a row while trying different things.
I know you 360 owners will see this as probably trolling or something, but I bought this because I wanted to be a 360 owner. Never ...
I bought a 360 FOUR days ago and now I know for sure that they have fixed the red ring of death. Now it just breaks without the red rings.
NEVER again Microsoft. Never again.
On topic, I will use the money I got back after returning my 360 to buy Lost Planet and DMC4.
FOUR DAYS!
With a PS3 and 360, both with HDMI ports.
I bet half of the people on here don't actually know just how good some new games look because thye don't have anything decent worth playing it on.
The people you see arguing about which game looks better are probably playing on some 26" CRT made 4 years ago. In my opinion, I've played games on both systems, and games are getting to the point now that they look so good it's hard to pick one over the other.
The PS3 does upscale movies at 1080p, but you have to deselect 720p and 1080i at the graphics settings if you want it to automatically upscale all of your PS3 games.
Also, I just bought a 360 arcade 5 days ago (all they had), and I'm playing everything in 1080p because it has an HDMI port.
So Longduckdong is wrong too.
EDIT-mboojigga, no matter what a tv supports if the cable does not support the output, it will not happen. You cannot get 1080p fr...
Most of the top contributors here would be considered 360 fans before anything else.
They just know what to feed to the animals for points, if you know what I mean.
Will it blend?!
I log into Live and I don't have a hard drive. My profile is saved on the memory card.
However, I just bought one off of ebay because I need one. I only bought the arcade because it's all that's left where I live other than the limited edition Halo 360's.
If it isn't, then it's late as hell and pretty much void of any meaning.
And 7.5 is a ripoff. I only had one problem with the game. It was the singleplayer, but UT3 has never been about singleplayer and that's definitely not what I bought it for.
We can consider those spelling bee competitions sports too because those little kids have to move their mouths to spell out words. Scrabble players are playing "sports" because they use their hands to lay down tiles. Do you honestly believe that?
And I never said everything on ESPN right now is all sports. I know they show other crap. That doesn't make it any better though, and I would rather not add to it.

People on here are really quick to defend Lair.
Why? I have no idea.
Everytime I say something bad about it, the first response I get is "Have you even played the game?"
Yes. Yes I have. And when I'm asked that I wonder the exact same question.
Where do I begin? The navigation bar throws you off completely sometimes pointing to something completely different than what you are supposed to be attacking.
The camera is really annoying while turning and the worst part is when you are locked onto a target you lose complete orientation of where you are going.
Lastly, the ground battles are REALLY lame. There might be a thousand soldiers on the field but not a single one of them is filled with decent AI. It's ...
If it were a PS3 game I'd feel the same way. I don't want to see any Warhawk on ESPN either. It's ESPN, and even though there is other crap on there that isn't even close to sports, it doesn't mean we should add more that doesn't belong.
Two wrongs don't make a right, and by that I mean even though they do show poker, scrabble, and other stuff doesn't mean we should choke one of the best channels on tv with things that are not about sports.
It's like showing all ...
Dishwasher is pretty dark but the combat and controls work pretty well so it's fun.
Little gamer is just hilarious. I really didn't pick up any sort of plot but it's awesome. If the kids on South Park were to develop a game, it would probably look something like this.
Sport (straight from Merriam Webster)-physical activity engaged in for pleasure (2): a particular activity (as an athletic game) so engaged in
The key word there is "physical."
I'm not trying to take anything away from MLG because I think it's great and anything that gets games out to more people is great, but if you are going to try and argue that playing video games is a sport, then you are misinformed.
If you were to use that example...
ESPN is the last place I want to see any video game news. Leave sports where sports belongs and video games where they belong.
I would love for there to be a primetime video game show that was available to the masses to see, but not on ESPN. In fact, I think I would actually be satisfied with any channel other than ESPN.
Of course, they could always air this on the Ocho!
Because they're probably not buying any other games. That's almost all the PC seems to be the best platform for, MMO's.
It could also come down to a lot of us (myself included) realize the ease of playing a console game compared to a PC game. Never do you have to worry about "system requirements."
And all of the other reasons have been stated pretty well by Jdoki. It's too expensive for the mass market and the platforms aren't stable.
I haven't played the online yet, but I'm playing Gears for the first time and the atmosphere of the game trumps Resistance in almost every way. I loved Resistance, but Gears really has those moments where you tense up waiting for the next moment, and you actually care about what happens next.
It's almost like playing Resident Evil (with those moments that really get your attention and get your blood pumping) and UT3 all at once. From a PS3 fans point of view, trust me please, G...
I don't know about not having a mini-map, but i'll still be buying this day one.
I loved Fable 1, LOVED IT. I can't wait for this one. If fact, this time, I think I'll start off as a bad guy. That way I'm positive that i'll play it at least two times through.
Also, I've got $5 on PETA getting involved after they find out you can beat your dog.
The marks on the analog sticks that stick up drive me crazy. I love that they are concaved but I took an exacto blade and shave off the notches.
I'm loving the in-game music though. It's been too long.
I refuse to play the replacement game after owning it for only days. If it had been at least six months, maybe. Four days? HELL NO.
I just got back from returning it, and i'll be buying some new PS3 games with the money I got back.
