Your apparently skimmed over all the XBOX fans gloating about how 360 was better because multiplats looked and performed better on it.
I'm not promoting fan boys and their arguments either way, but don't pretend this was ever one sided. Regardless of resolution the PS4 has better hardware, and at a better price which is a win for the consumer. The shame, on both sides of the fence, is when fanboys act like resolution is all that matters.
Shitty policy in regards to when they could shut off servers for your purchased games hurt them the first time... wonder if they changed.
I take it all with a grain of salt. Every representative from every company is going to be hyping up everything related to their company because its expected, and two, E3 is coming. Gotta start that hype train now.
I won't buy this on release. Burned me twice now on buying release games from EA/DICE. I have no faith in them to do anything right at launch.
They jacked up BF3 release and it took forever to fix it. Battlefield 4 is still jacked up, and 5 months after release they are just starting to address the netcode issues, issues that Peter Moore said didn't exist, and I have absolutely no faith in them doing this right.
Star Wars will be EA's microtransaction, booster, gimmick dream.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the people who absolutely raged at the BETA/release of Battlefield 3, purchased Battlefield 4 and raged again, and will turn around and buy Star Wars Battlefront from the same company who has treated the consumer like crap before.
Gonna start stocking up on popcorn.
Even in the games EA takes the award for worst. We just haven't found a game hero capable of reaching the depths at which EA resides. One day, one day that hero will come.
This administration is terrible.
Not when you can buy scopes and gun upgrades with real money. Buying the same stuff (atleast when I last played) with in-game points meant it would expire after a few days. That isn't a good model imo.
It's fun but the F2P sucks. Buying a scope for 1 day? Forget that. It also takes forever to get enough points to buy something that will expire. Fun yes for what it is.
They said early 2014 didn't they? I'd hope its before August lol :)
This isn't about fanboyism. Its about getting a great product that is moving along with technology. Now, before PC guys get in here and lose their minds on this post, I understand consoles are always behind PC, but that doesn't mean, as the PS4 is showing, that we have to be WAY behind, rather then just a bit.
There is absolutely no reason Microsoft couldn't have bolstered the specs of the XBox in order to give CONSUMERS more for their money. Instead they chose to...
I wish it always recorded what it was supposed to. I have a ton of issues with hitting the button once, and the pic of the video being exactly what I wanted to record but the video stops short of that moment. Happens all the time. Rebuilt the database once and that helped for like the first two videos then it went back to not working properly again :(
Not surprised and who could blame them. If the game was on PS4 I'd definately pick it up, so I'm not entirely knocking the game. But its clearly Microsofts bread and butter (even if it is on PC) and they are going to take as much advantage of it as they can.
They should have just called it what it was, a Demo, and then news site posting articles with headlines like this one, and the one about top Titanfall BETA Plays or w/e would be justified.
A BETA isn't to justify hype, or build fanbase, etc etc its to test a game in an attempt to break it so issues can be found and fixed prior to a release.
Happened in BF3 too. Rubber banding is still a prevalent issue on the PS4.
So basically they are almost selling it for what it was actually worth at release? ;)
Highly doubt its Titanfall. If it was, regardless of anyones personal opinion of the game, the internet would erupt, simply because at this point its deemed a PC/Xbox title only. Personally, if Sony was to secure that as a title for the PS4 I don't think we'd see its release until atleast the end of the year, early 2015 and that would be an E3 or other big event announcement.
Star Citizen would be possible I guess considering the huge Kickstarter support that game is ...
My understanding of this is that I can stream my PS4 titles to another room in the house that this is hooked up in. If that is true I'd buy it day 1. Lot of times my family is using TV for something and I could play in another room. would be great.
They should be worried. They uses visuals they clearly weren't gonna be able to achieve to lure consumers to their product and build hype. Now they can't do that.
