I'm personally hoping for Mega Man Legends 1 & 2, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, Breath of Fire 3 & 4, and Strider.
And yet Suikoden Tierkreis is nowhere to be found... Hopefully it's because they stopped tracking on Friday.
While LBP was good, Mega Man 9 beat it out IMO. Hell, I'd have scrapped Banjo and put MM9 at #2.
You're forgetting how Valkyrie Profile actually has advertisement compared to Suikoden Tierkreis.
I wouldn't doubt that a lot of people who are vocal about being anti Square Enix are the only ones who would ignore a SE game. Even in Japan, Covenant of the Plume outsold Tierkreis 4:1 on opening week.
Thinking Suikoden will overshadow Valkyrie Profile is a bit foolish. One's got Square Enix' logo on it, the other has Konami. Guess which one's better known for RPGs right now.
The sex scene was pretty much a throwback to Snyder's last movie, where the sex scene in 300 lasted quite a while. Even one of the action scenes mimics the visual style of the first 300 battle scene.
Snyder's influence at work.
If the Japanese version of the DLC is what we're getting localized, we won't get trophies. I'd love for there to be some, because the more people buy the game the better things will be, but even after a re-release SEGA didn't implement one (hell, all they'd need to do is adapt the medals system for the game!)
I find it fine. At least it's not using the usual "ultra wide" font most Japanese sites do.
The interesting thing about this review is that it completely dismisses the install option that greatly (and I mean GREATLY) reduces load times.
Then again, IGN isn't one to care about a game going out of its way to give you an option to make your experience better.
Pretty darned happy the series is on that list... at #3, no less.
I'd love for this to be a new Monster Rancher game.
No joke, that series rocks.
The disk format of blu-Ray is definitely gaming ready. It's the drive that's reading them that isn't. Had Sony put a 4X blu-Ray drive in the PS3, it would beat even the higher DVD read speeds. Since they put a 2X drive, it's actually even slower (ever so slightly) than the 16X DVD9 drive of the 360.
The only true disadvantage to multi-disk games (other than user annoyment) is how some data has to be exactly the same across all disks if a mandatory install isn't done.
Games as far back as Final Fantasy VIII are proof of this: In FF8, they basically blocked off access to most cities because there just wasn't enough space on the fourth disk for the entire ending area and the rest of the world anymore. Had it not been for the CD format's limitations (and Squaresoft's need to ma...
The game's out in Japan. Most fans already cleared the game and know what the story is, which they relayed to the rest of the world.
Thing is, people even managed to hack the demo to get to file names that weren't cleaned prior to its release. We had names, all we needed was the story to go with them. Now that we have both, is this article really necessary anymore?
Oh, let's not forget how the game was leaked two weeks early. It's pretty hard to keep a secret whe...
It could really go either way. Integrated graphics are used on many (almost all) budget laptops, most levels of notebooks and even some low-budget PCs.
Problem is, techies will always want to upgrade a modular PC. If I had to buy a new motherboard every time I wanted better graphics, you can see why I wouldn't even bother with PC gaming after a while. On the other hand, people who don't game seriously just don't want to care about a 90$ graphics card. Integrated is the best w...
MGS1 was recently re-released in disc form. It won't be coming to PSN for a while.
Perhaps the people talking about getting the game over here are, oh, I dunno... the target audience SEGA would go for in America?
I'm a fan of Yakuza themed movies and Yakuza 3 could definitely be a game I'd get.
It just won't manage it. Unless we're talking single-game sales, which is only somewhat possible if the hype for FFXIII Agito goes through the roof pre-launch. We'll see if it'll be able to beat 2G...
This is a useless article. It's standard issue speed up tips that most people should know already:
1. Disable autoruns
2. Disable Aero
3. When all else fails... get a better computer?
Yeah, I'd rather see more in-depth tweaks to get those little bits of extra memory and disable many useless scheduled tasks.
It's called the Mega Man X Collection. It's on PS2, GameCube, and Xbox.
