With Clover Studios closed down and reintegrated into Capcom, it's highly unlikely that any Okami sequel would be worked on by the same team who made the original.
I'm sorry, but having humongous vertical bars when watching 4:3 format shows is what will keep me from even considering a 2.35:1 screen. Not to mention the same black bars would appear when watching 16:9 digital format shows, so I don't think this would benefit anyone other than cinema freaks who exclusively watch movies shot in the widest aspect ratio. These same people I assume already have a projector for their cinematic viewing, anyway.

It's probably because people held out in order to buy the new color once it came out.
In fact, it happened many times when the DS released new colors: Any more sales you see now would've been registered earlier had the colors not been announced. There's maybe 5% of the extra sales from people who like the new color and got it exclusively for that reason.
A remake of Shining Force 3 and full localization of all episodes would be a great wet dream for any SF fan who wants to play the game in English.
I'd love to see SEGA bring back Shining Force as well as continue with Valkyria Chronicles.
Yes, NIS has Disgaea 3 coming next month for PS3, they're publishing Mana Khemia Portable sometime later this year, and already talked about a couple of exclusive PS3 games that they promise will take full advantage of the PS3s graphical capabilities. (as opposed to the criticisms Disgaea 3 got)
While it's possible to move away from Microsoft, most people who truly despise them have already moved on and gone over to Mac or Linux.
The rest of the people whining are usually the ones too lazy to switch over or the ones who can't due to their work requiring it anyway. Since 80-90% of companies use Windows on their computers, it's hard to evade Microsoft completely.

After the shutdown of the fan-made 3D remake and the voiced interest by the team who made the FF3 and FF4 remakes, I can't bring myself to even want to buy this game.
If it was their plan to make a GBA-styled port all along, why didn't they just do that 4 years ago when they had the chance (and the audience)?

The fans apparently want the game. Square Enix never seems to want to give it to them.
I'm more inclined to say a Star Ocean 4 port. Eye for an eye: Xbox 360 never announce exclusivity and everyone in PR keeps avoiding PS3 questions, so that's the likely announcement.
It can mean one of two things:
1. People don't have anything else to play online.
2. People play other games single-player only.
You won't be seeing games like Eternal Sonata on that list, you know.

Always good to see a different view on the games. The fandom is so diverse that it's hard to see who would our wouldn't agree with each game's importance in the franchise.
That's the thing, consumers want their games remade. Not ported.
Even the FFIVDS crew said they were highly interested in making a CT DS remake in the same style as the first two FF remakes instead of moving on to FFVDS. (It's on 1Up somewhere)
After canning the 3D fan remake and keeping people waiting for nearly a decade, this isn't how I expected nor want Chrono Trigger to come back as.
