Since Skies of Arcadia and Valkyria Chronicles are both made by SEGA WOW, I don't see how they couldn't make sequels to both games. Vyse, Aika and Fina being in VC was far more of a tease than I could handle...
XBLA, WiiWare, and PSN (soon DSiWare) have similar games up for distribution. 1/10th the price for a shorter game than the average in its genre. 1/6th the price for a game that would've been a huge risk if it were released on a disc/cart.
I'll only take it seriously if the games it gets are serious. Get a few multi-hour, GREAT quality WRPGs and JRPGs on there and I'll consider it. It's the only genre I'd play on the thing, anyway. After having played Mega Man 2 iPhone, you can see why I have little faith in any other genres.
The Japanese version uses Ad Hoc Party for online and considering Capcom's alternative to that (subscription online for its upcoming Wii games), then I welcome having to use tunneling programs.
You caught the two reasons why this vid is hilarious!
The article's a joke. Watch the video instead of reading the headline.

We have a winner.
People often mistake "already on the disk" and "added through a patch, but needs to be activated".
The PSP having a crap default D-Pad is what makes all fighters annoying, much like how the DS has a very resistant D-Pad and screws up diagonal input.
I know you can use a quarter to make it more bearable, but still I prefer using the regular Dual Shock 2 to that option.
I guess Secret of Mana is the placeholder game for the entire franchise...
As for Wild ARMs, you can download it from the US PSN and play it on an AUS/PAL PS3 without any problems.
You can program it yourself, actually. I have and others have as well.
Dunno 'bout you, but XP takes about as much time to shut down as Ubuntu, Gentoo, and CentOS on my PC. Shutting down processes is skipped on fails in the Linux distros' case, but no-error shutdowns take as much time on the OS's I use.
I'd invite you to take it up personally to Christian Svensson. He's on the Capcom Unity boards and they have a section specifically aimed toward asking the staff questions.
Meh... Random battles can stay for all I care. I'd like to point the author toward a game that did on-screen battles wrong: Final Fantasy XII. Next up is one that did it kinda right: Chrono Trigger.
Here's hoping FFXIII perfects it, but I'm not holding my breath considering Square Enix' production value as of late. (Oh dear, how I loathe The Last Remnant for failing to be the next step in what appeared to be the Ogre Battle style of games...)
Just buy a new hard drive... This shouldn't come as a surprise nor as a detrimental part of gaming. Even the 360 and Wii have space limitation problems. PSN, XBLA, and WiiWare/VC have evolved greatly, but only Sony and Nintendo had a truly easy way out of the problem: standardized external/internal media swapping. Let's hope MS gives us the ability to swap in our own hard drive into the next Xbox.
I think you mistook me talking about "franchise spinoff" as comparing it to other spinoffs of any franchise. I was talking about things within Suikoden, like Suikogaiden vol. 1 & 2, Suikoden Card Stories, and Tactics.
FYI: The lowest selling main-series game is Suikoden V. Around 190K copies sold in Japan. Not so much because the game's bad, but because Suikoden IV nearly killed the franchise alongside Suikoden Tactics.
But I will say this: Tierkreis sold better than any franchise spinoff. That's a fact. It just didn't sell anywhere near a main series title.
Complex, yes, but those are actually simplified versions of main series staples. As a Suikoden game, it's basically a Lite version of the franchise. As a JRPG, it delivers something different to the generic style of the genre (can't get more generic than Dragon Quest... it DEFINED what JRPGs are)
Dragon Quest V DS would like to have a word... and it's a remake of a 15 year old game.
Fact is, this is a great traditional JRPG amongst the ones on the DS, but it's a far cry from the ones on other systems and even other games in its own franchise.
Wouldn't be the first Stargate game to be canceled.
Might want to change the image. That's from Suikoden 4, not Tierkreis.
