have you even played HL2?? yeah last gen for PC, but still looks better than most next gen console games out there. And your still getting team fortress, portal, and episode 2....all new next gen.
all i'm saying is if you haven't played this game, you are missing out on one of the best games of all time. look at the review scores so far for Lair and HS...then compare them to the scores HL@ Orange is going to get.
That would be a classic sony move, but it would work, and it sure as hell will annoy alot of blu ray fans that will want to pick up the trans movie on dvd but will be buying the hddvd also.

I think it was the best movie of the year.
Much better than SM3 with its too many sub plots, and much better than pirates and confusing hard to keep up with storyline.
the timing is just right..... two months before the holidays, you know they will put up some good deals on hd-dvd players...so this might be HD-DVD's last hope. And it just might work.
I mean we can probably expect deals of HD players bundled with Trans for $199. Mass market will see this as a deal, I believe. I guess we'll just wait and see.
I have the HD add on, so I'll be getting it. Now if they would take King Kind out of the Hd add on and include Trans, i think alot...
your getting a custom limited edition HALO 360 and Halo controller.
Some people think that alone is worth 50 bucks more.
But when you add the custom HALO wireless headset, and a play and charge kit.....then your getting a bargain!!! Those two accessories do not come with the premium.
Anyways..like I said earlier. EVERY kid would much rather have the HALO 360 then the regular premium, as well as HALO fanatics. So they will sell. Same as custom HALO ...
obviously no one will be playing it on IMAX, by how many of us would have loved to be there just to witness a preview of the most anticipated game ever on an IMAX theater.
You must have never played HALO to understand that only a game like HALO can have a following that would pay money just to see a preview of HALO 3 on IMAX.
after reading that article, they really do insist the graphics got a huge boost. And maybe I'm a believer now because I want to believe to nevertheless, a believer.
And i've been holding off getting a bigger HDTV (mines is 32in) but now I'm looking forward to getting a 46-50 and be ready to play with my friends on sept 25 with the lights out and surround system up.
Kind of reminds me when Star Wars III came out and how siked I was to see that. This game is that EPIC.
I really stopped buying hd-dvd discs a while back because i was starting to lose faith, but this is a huge boost for hddvd.
Now I can go back and buy 300, planet earth and matrix.

All consumers will be confused on which format to buy, but if they do start selling hddvd player below $200 vs blu ray players ...
are you bragging because a game is going to run as smooth on the ps3 as the 360??
umm.. when i bought my XBOX back in 2001, i expected it to run games better than PS2, because it was supposed to be the better console with a premium price. And do you know what i got from day 1 that I bought my XBOX? A console that played EVERY game better than the PS2.

i remember ro play COD 2 on the PC i need a new video card, and upgraded my cpu to a 3.4. And that was just to get it to run as good as the 360.....i can only imagine what kind of rig you need to run cod4.

I'm a 32 year old gamer, thats a police officer in nj, and me and three of my co-workers are taking sept 25 off to play through Halo3 together, and now we are all siked up cause we are going to take another day off to play COD4.
4 player co-op is the BEST way to experience a game.
hell yeah, COD on the PC had me hooked....better than MoH, not much better, but it was better.
and the reason why it wasn't on PC, most hardcore PC gamers as myself have taken the plunge and jump in with 360. Although the new mouse/keyboard for PS3 has me real jealous these days.

last gen consoles...xbox was clearly superior to PS2. And it was evident in EVERY multi-plat game. And 360 had games that clearly could not be done on PS2...DOOM and HALF-LIFE 2 for example. (of course they could have tried but it would have been another sh*tty port like Splinter Cell 3.)
this gen, PS3 seems to have the more advanced technology, but still hasn't been proven, and games are to this point running better on 360.
my point, PS3 could definitely be wort...
if anything you got the core for the market market which will hit that sweet spot of $199 very soon YEARS before PS3 can, and then it will sell freakin MILLIONS MORE, not everybody has internet connection so hard drive wouldn't be needed, just a memory card
then you got the premium/elite for the rest of us that can afford a little more and want to experience what xbox live offers...
now if this ultimate comes out, it will be for the minority of us that can afford...
if they take the emotion chip out of the ps3, alot of games from ps2 will not be compatible until they get a patch, same sh*t as 360. anyone that got an early ps3 has the emotion chip and wont have that problem.
and if you guys believe this article, then you should also believe what it says...the core will be discontinued, as wuill the premium will be the new elite...and the halo 360 is only limited edition....so what does that leave you with??? a premium 360 and the so calle...
in the end, it will still be another year maybe two before the format "war" is decided....i think by then there will be players made by some company in CHina that can play both bluray and hddvd from one disc drive at an affordable mass market price.
