umm... ps4 at $400.... MGs4 this year.... two big reasons to buy ps3 this year....now if only bu-ray had that momentum it had all year long, then i'd jump ship.
until then its Wii60 for me.
sh*t if the release a new $399 ps3, with dual shock, a bd movie (possibly spiderman 3) and GT prolog installed on hard drive.... that will be a great move for them.
i couldn't see myself buying it, only because I have a 360 and already have a Wii wrapped up to give my kid for xmas...
but if blu-ray wins the format war...which doesn't seem like the sure thing anymore, then and only then can i have my excuse to buy one!!
when ps3 goes to $399,
falcon chips will probably be in effect and 360 premium will go for $299, core for $249, and elite for $349..... or even cheaper for all 3 sku's

Blacksite looks good, but it will have to get awesome reviews for me toconsider buying it. And as much as I looked forward to Haze and especially UT3...I can always look forward to playing those next year,, since i'll be too busy this year.
it could be argued that Ninja Gaiden is one of the best, if not, highest rated games on PS3...... sucks that the sequal is coming on 360.
I say this because if my favorite game to date, GEARS OF WAR, announced the sequal exclusive to PS3 i'd be pissed the F*ck off too!!!

their highest scored and only triple AAA games for PS3 are Ninja Gaiden and Oblivion...both 360 ports. (i read AAA games go by overall review scores totaling over 90%.

Halo will sell much more than COD4. Rape it? nah...cause it will most likely be the second best selling 360 game this year. COD4 had insane graphics (on par with GoW), sounds like it has really good multiplayer, 60fps, and 4 player co-op. What more can you ask for??
and on PS3, i'm sorry but i'm not so sure about Haze, but UT3...I believe that will be the biggest selling game for PS3 to date. Graphics are as good or better than G...
broke down and got the Wii.... even though i wont even have enough time to play all the games I plan to play on my 360.
but...being that I can probably get my girlfriend in on some Wii sports and other silly games gives me the excuse to get three franchises I grew up with that I have literally played every one of them. Mario, Metroid, and Zelda. And being Zelda and Metroid have already being reviewed as must have games for the Wii, I can only guess Mario Galaxy will be as good ...

I stopped buying hddvd movies early this year because blu-ray had the studious, PS3 pushing players into homes, and Blockbuster and Target backing them. Sony was smart using the torjan horse PS3, but they underestimated HDDVD, and their tactics which has been all along, HDDVD will always be almost half the price of a stand alone blu-ray

Cheap HD DVD will sell, and the majority of the people that buy them wont even know the difference between 1080i and 1080p, and even if they did they are so cheap they most likely only have a 720/1080i capable HDTV set anyways.
what I am saying is that cheaper will sell MUCH BETTER, its a fact.
FACE IT, a cheap HD player for $150-$200 is the only thing people will care about. We know the difference betweeb BLu ray and hddvd, and 1080i and 1080p, but most people will only upgrade their existing dvd player for a cheap hd dvd player no matter who makes it or what format it is.

I have to honest, being a 360 owner, there are a couple of games I was looking to forward to, with Lair and HS being top of the list for this year. LittleBigPlanet and Warhawk dont interest me.
Lair is getting majority AVERAGE REVIEWS, and now so is HS. Lowest score being from edge (6.0) and the highest score being from PlayMagazine (10) all together an average press score of 7.3
300 comes with a short preview of the movie Zack wanted to make. It was made on a very small budget, special effects were ok, not great....BUT they got their point across. It was intended to sell the movies to studios for financial support.
When you try to compare the short clip that was made of 300 compared to the final movie, it is a HUGE difference. Makes me believe this short clip of Halo looks ok, but will be a HUGE diffrence compared to the final movie
THE ONLY REASON there are people that support blu ray is because it came with the PS3.
Forget the fact HDDVD came out first, and is much cheaper to make since its made on same production line as reg DVD.....since PS3 comes with BLu ray you guys support it, and I dont blame you. I mean why not, you guys got a gaming console with an added HD player.
