I can't really see the value of psnow on a big screen tv as the size of the image shows all the flaws and pixellations up really horribly. If you have a PS4 console under the tv you may as well run games on it as they will be less laggy and look better.
Personally i feel this service makes most sense for tablets and handhelds where a smaller image size and portability give it a reason to be useful.
A new vita with reasonably priced memory cards, triggers, R3 and L3 buttons and a larger screen would be perfect. If they could release it to be backwards compatible with the existing library as well as PS Now support then it's perfect for me.
Id love to be able to lie in bed and using a single handheld console either natively play or stream Vita, PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games.
Actually tempted to get the one x for this. The pro never felt like enough of an upgrade for me.
Thoroughly disappointing announcement. If you are gonna generate a load of hype for a 'big' announcement then make sure it's something remotely interesting or else you just make yourself look silly.
Going from 1440 checker board to full 4k is not as big an improvement as going from 30fps to 60fps in my opinion.

The vita is a real enigma at times. No matter how many vita is dead articles I see the flow of new releases doesn't seem to stop. Appreciate these are all Japanese and indie games rather than wester aaa but still surprising how well supported the system is in those areas

Pleased for Nintendo switch owners, gutted as a Sony guy though. These are great games.
I have a pro and a 4k tv...yet still play my vita more. I may be the only person in the world for whom this is true....either way...I sincerely hope it gets another lease of life. A truly great console.
Why someone would pay to have fake platinums is utterly beyond my comprehension.

I agree up to a point. BC for PS3 games on PS4 would be awesome. PS2, PS1 is a bit too far back for me. Those games are best left in the memory...
If it's a smash hit then it would heavily incentivise Sony and Microsoft to create similar products rather like the Wii lead to Kinnect and Move.
I wonder why articles about such a 'dead console' always seems to get so many comments here. It's clear that dead or alive the vita is something that still catches people's attention.
It's was a huge missed opportunity for me. I think the frustration and anger over what could have been versus what actually was is why people still manage to get so worked up about it all these years later.
