I always seem to buy more than I have time to play…
It doesn’t mean that they are selling huge quantities. It’s just means that they anticipated very low sales for a very expensive niche product and it sold a bit more than they expected.
Still only going to be a tiny quantity compared to mainstream consoles.
I would if it was Switch 2 enhanced but the prices put me off
It’s expensive for sure, but don’t write it off as a rip off too quickly. I own an ally x and a switch 2. The ally hardware costs more but if you play a lot of games like me you will quickly make the difference back with cheaper games prices in steam sales, gamepass. You also get a far bigger library to chose from where all games scale to the hardware to look and perform well (as they can on a handheld) without having to put up with switch one games running in back compatibility and looking...
New market that is growing slowly but steadily. I suspect they are all trying to get in now just in case they miss the boat.
Resistance is a great one. I’m also sad there are no more Killzone, Dishonoured and Deus Ex games coming.
It wasn’t a classic or anything but still a good game. I enjoyed it personally.
These days it feels like if a game isnt brilliant it must therefore be terrible and everyone hates on it.
Deck 1 had no noticeable impact on switch 1s sales, can’t see any reason why deck 2 would have any significant impact on switch 2.
While I understand valves decision not to update the deck too soon, I do feel the device performance wise is aging badly.
I have the OLED deck and ally x and the difference in performance the z1 extreme offers is very significant. I’ve yet to have a game I can’t hit good visuals with a least 30fps on. Very much not so on deck.
I hope they release a z2 extreme version of deck next year and don’t wait another couple of years for z3 because by then the dec...
I can’t understand the logic of funding a remaster that no one seemed to be asking for, for a game that had only moderate success, that already looks graphically really good and already has a 60fps patch.
Meanwhile Bloodbourne, a game people are always asking to be remastered or at least patched for 60fps and a much loved cult classic is ignored.
The rog ally x pretty much does that right now…I literally finished a 60fps 1080p play through of prey just this week. Next up dishonoured 2..
You can’t laugh at something for not competing with the switch or consoles in mass markets sales when the device obviously hasn’t been pitched at the market.
The deck isn’t available retail, not marketed, expensive, not mainstream family or kid friendly at all.
It sells to the hardcore gamers and is almost universally loved and hyped up by that group hence why its importance then appears exaggerated in forums like this.
I really enjoyed this game and also think it was one of the best PS4 games. It’s weird to me that this makes you so angry. I’m not a Sony fan at all by the way, very much pc player.
No physical release, no Steam release. Hardly surprising it didn't sell as well as it deserved.
Haha, sorry man, I don’t agree with you at all. I for one rarely don’t finish a single player game and I spend less and less time playing multiplayer. Too hectic, too toxic, much too hard work after a days work. To each his own and all that.
The right thing to do for consumers albeit done for the wrong reasons.
Will it be good?..maybe. Will it eclipse Ghosts of Tsushima?…no.
Returned my launch portal because if this…might get one now.
I have the OLED deck and kids have gloss versions. Looking side by side you can see that the anti glare is of mixed value. Gives the screen a really nice paper like texture but washes out the deep backs and punchiness of the colours.
@Hofstaderman, the clear screen protector cancels our maybe 90% of the anti glare. Enough that it’s no longer noticeable. Put one on mine cos I just know sooner or later I would have scratched that screen.
Oh dear, that is an awful month. Ah well, can’t win them
all.
