I'd say so. This sort of large scale mode is exactly what the series has needed, not battle royale. It makes for some good variety too, now that there's three different modes to choose at will.
The standard multiplayer modes are disappointing, some very poor maps indeed. But Gunfight is outstanding, and Ground War is great.
Pansies
The whole game felt uninspired. People who like battle royale may have liked it more, but I still think games are getting the mode completely wrong.
@Shinjuku Agreed, I think Call of Duty has been poor this generation. Haven't played MW enough to judge it properly, but Black Ops 3 was the best on these consoles up until now, and it paled in comparison to most of the PS360 entries
I'll keep note not to trust anyone that rated Black Ops 4 higher than this one. It seems like the biggest complaint reviewers have is that they were offended, amongst the lower reviews.
The Order was trash, it got scored too high if anything.
The ending made it hard for me to want to play any of these games again up until recently. It might sound dramatic, but it somewhat ruined gaming for me for a while.
With that said, the game was fantastic up until that point on my first playthrough. But after trying to play through the trilogy again over the last year, I don't think the third game was that great. The story was rushed, and removing the middle dialogue option was a bad move, for example.
The first two thirds are slow paced, but it sure as hell isn't boring. I certainly found it more enjoyable than any of the GTA series. Then again, I felt that GTAIV was the best of the lot, since it also had a great story.
I'd prefer a good 10-12 hour game to a dragged out, boring 30+ hour game. Plenty of great single player games are even shorter than this.
That's just for the main missions too, according to this it's at least double the length if you do everything. It sounds like it has a big focus on multiplayer too... so it should have plenty of content.
It's just complaining for the sake of complaining to have a real issue with this.
Days Gone deserved the reviews it got.
People don't want to destroy Death Stranding, they're just concerned with what they've seen so far. Just about everyone, including journalists, were excited about Kojima joining Sony... they aren't just flipping their opinions around because they're biased.
It's ridiculous to assume MS is paying them to bash it... As Gangsta said, it didn't stop God of War. And it certainly hasn't hel...
Bored? By playing the highest rated game on Xbox One and PS4 (apart from GTAV), with better graphics and frame rate? I'd love to know your definition of fun.
*sees that you listed four PS4 exclusives including Days Gone*
Oooh you're one of those guys. That explains it.
The characters just don't feel right, the voice actor changes for Rhys and Claptrap stick out like a sore thumb.
Really? When I played PUBG, I could only think to myself that The Last of Us had already nailed those gameplay mechanics. It would have serious potential.
A GTAVI trailer would overshadow everything else, Naughty Dog included.
Microsoft published the first Mass Effect.
The 360 was out a year longer than the PS3, so the Bioshock team likely would have preferred to get the PC and 360 versions out first, before porting it to the more complicated PS3 hardware.
The Tomb Raider deal was bad. But at least when it went to PS4, it was discounted and came with all the DLC. I'm this case Xbox and PC users are paying the same price as PS4 users, but are getting less. With the next Cal...
Second Son was a travesty. At least Days Gone had huge zombie hordes going for it.
What's that? You want me to buy it second hand? Sure thing.
I was likely going to get it for PS4 anyway, but I won't support this.
Well Modern Warfare 3 had it, so it was pretty safe to assume this one would too.
Call of Duty 4 is still great by today's standards.
