Great news. While I don't mind that there'll be more cloud gaming services, we need Playstation and Nintendo to keep making consoles and physical copies of games, and hopefully Xbox keeps at it too.
@MaximusTKG - He said it's not as good as other PS4 exclusives, he didn't say it isn't a good game by it's own merits. It has a 72 Metacritic score, so it's not like reviewers are calling it a bad game.
@sprinter - Where did he say that? That's true, 8-8.5 could be seen as good too. But when a game has so much time and resources put into it, a 72 metascore, while certainly an admirable effort, is disappointing. I know that makes it a pass for me, si...
It makes perfect sense in the Souls games though. I remember GTAIV was harder to play through at times due to the lack of checkpoints, and not in a good way.
I meant he feels the character's morals don't make sense. Not in a good complex character way either, more in the "this character makes no sense" way. Or maybe he simply has such dumb morals that he's outright unlikable. Both of these would be a big problem for a game with six hours of cutscenes (I think it is?)
"Ugly" doesn't have to be a complaint about the graphics. I didn't care enough to read the article to find out, and I don&...
By "ugly" I doubt he means the visuals, so no, not everyone can see that without playing it. The main character being morally flawed doesn't sound like his issue, but it's that he finds it illogical from a storytelling standpoint.
Haven't played the game myself, but let's wait until we do before bashing this guy's thoughts on it.
The motorbikes and fast zombie hordes are a unique combination I'd say, but I'll agree that these scores aren't surprising after seeing the human combat. I was still hopeful the zombies would carry it though. We haven't really seen a great zombie game since the Left 4 Dead series, from what I can recall.
@Minute Man 721 - Personally I would agree. I can see why people liked it, but for me it was the worst of the main four Uncharted games.
Obviously I can get behind a more slow paced game, I did like Read Dead 2 after all, but I found the story to be average. There was no tension at any point of the game, which made the slow pace tedious. The set pieces were a let down after Uncharted 3.
The only hero to die in the entire series was Jeff the camera guy. W...
@TheHateTheyGive - Did you play them on the X? I did a direct comparison between Horizon (PS4 Pro) and RDR2 (XB1X), and while Horizon does look great, it's a few notches behind Red Dead. The facial animations were particularly awful in Horizon.
God of War was overrated visually in my opinion. Kratos looked stunning, along with some of the indoor lighting. But some of the outdoor areas looked barely above average honestly. I think Uncharted 4 is visually the best PS4 exc...
That's a shame, the first gameplay shown at E3 was impressive.
Well LittleBigPlanet 3 was broken, so that's probably what it deserved. But yes she gave way too high of a score to Rise of the Tomb Raider, absolutely rubbish game. I wasn't a big fan of Uncharted 4, but it was undoubtedly 10 times better than ROTR.
Red Dead 2 and Far Cry 5 on the X both look better than any PS4 exclusive. 3rd party pleb games? The highest rated games on PS4 are GTAV and RDR2.
Then again, PS4 fanboys have a flimsy sense of what makes a good game. Last generation, multiplayer was so important, that apparently even MAG was a better game than Mass Effect 2 for its "innovation." Now multiplayer is cancer because PS4 doesn't have any good multiplayer exclusives. RDR2 is supposedly so slow tha...
Who needs proof? Sekiro is nothing like Nioh. What proof is there that they took inspiration from it? To say that Nioh was so good that the best developers in the genre took inspiration from it, could be considered "uppity" in its own right.
Homophobic? Even if this were actually a joke, joking about gays doesn't mean you have a phobia.
I still hope Captain Price or someone who's already been part of the series will be the main character. Don't need another Black Ops 3 situation.
The original God of War would be interesting.
Best game of the generation, despite its "issues."
I found it more enjoyable, the main games can be a bit of a drag at times. Hoping the third will be better, especially now that they've fixed the co-op.
God of War on the hardest difficulty was actually harder than The Fromsoftware games. On normal mode it's not so so bad. But it does play a bit like a Souls game with added abilities, I'd we're just talking about combat mechanics.
It just made no improvements over Banjo. The controls weren't fluid, which is dire for a platformer. Even the original Banjo had better level design. People wanted another good 3D platformer, since there's sadly been next to none on PS4/X1, but no one wanted a game that feels like it belonged on the N64.
Undead Nightmare 2 would be very successful. They might make it since the online hasn't been a hit so far.
