It was 10x better than the event last year, so I'm not sure how you could have walked away disappointed.

Worst Borderlands for me, even including Pre-Sequel. The story is terrible, bad villains, and the characters don't even feel like the same ones as in previous games. Multiple undeveloped worlds was not a good direction, Borderlands 2 was stronger in its world. Slight combat improvements don't make up for any of it.
Had me excited for a second there. Surely a Jak IV is overdue, I'd be disappointed if we get another Uncharted over it.

I haven't played Death Stranding, I have no idea what I'll think of it when I do. But it's supposed to be a long game, you can't review that in a day.
The games you mention were all well liked. Some games get tons of hate before they release, which results in a bad user score before anyone has an actual chance to play them. Xbox and Playstation fans like to bash each other's exclusives without playing them at all.

Modern Warfare is the best, followed by Black Ops III. Both pale in comparison to the best of the PS3/360 era.

Such nonsense. Heavy Rain, Uncharted 3, Infamous 2, Bloodborne and Horizon were all far better in my opinion. I really do not get the hype behind TLOU.
The Outer Worlds was pretty consistently getting scores of 7-9, whereas Death Stranding just got plenty of 10s and a fair share of 6 and 7s. They both got a similar score, but one had a wider variety than the other.
Two games can get a 5/10. One can get all 5s, one can get scores all over the place. A mixed bag has nothing to do with the final score.
I like how people only now start mentioning Open Critic because it has Death Stranding 2% higher than on Metacritic.
I hope it's closer to Diablo 2 than 3. Diablo 3 was so linear, it made getting new gear and leveling up feel like scripted events. It needs to be more of a challenge.

This is clearly a game many people will dislike due to its slow pace and intentionally tedious gameplay. That's what people were concerned about, and even most of the positive reviews have proven thowe thoughts right. Of course there were going to be low scores for this kind of game.
It sounds like it has some of the best moments in gaming, but the gameplay itself could be tedious. I'm still interested in it, but I'll wait until I'm done with The Outer Worlds and Modern Warfare.
