Plenty of games have matched Naughty Dog's storytelling capabilities, many of which were already at that level before ND were well renowned for their stories. Mass Effect, Heavy Rain and Red Dead Redemption 2 all had better stories than any ND game. A few of the Telltale games were at least on par. Just to name a few.
Instead of just swatting away people's complaints with the story, just go and find out what people are complaining about. Watch some videos. That'...
Joel in part 1 - doesn't trust anyone. Runs over a guy because he didn't believe he was really injured. Natural distrust is part of his core.
Joel in part 2 - "Howdy strangers! My name is Joel, and this is my brother Tommy, former leader of the Fireflies, which I later massacred. Sounds like you've all heard of me? Those are some big guns you all got there, yep Joel that's my na-"
That's what's wrong with that scene. Joel...
A deeply well told story? That's ludicrous. I swear no other story focused game would get away with such a bad level of writing.
The finest achievement? Is tarnishing a beloved series considered an achievement now?
It's not the politics making people hate the game, it's the story. And believe me, it's far more than a dozen people who feel this way.
Of course you can try and call everyone that dislikes the story racist... Even though there's men and women of all races that hate it so far. But yes, just dismiss all their problems with the game as "racist." Or even better, just tell them they don't exist because they're obviously just a bunch of robots. ...
I'm not hating on Nintendo if that's what you're suggesting lol, I would probably argue BotW is the best exclusive of the last 10 years.
It's just that the Switch released half way through the current generation. If anything, the Wii U was closer to being current gen.
Even someone at Sony said Nintendo pretty much have their own generations. That's why I'm saying it's complicated to make a list like this now, because the Switc...
It honestly isn't much of an evolution. Plenty of games have done the stealth/action hybrid just as good, if not better than this since the first game released. Yeah they got rid of the garbage boxes and rafts for the most part, but the traversal is now bland.
I'm only about a quarter of the way through the game, but the soundtrack has been lackluster so far. That big moment early on didn't have as much weight as it should have, the first one had a better score ...
Did you just say RDR2 doesn't have a story?
Couldn't this have waited until the generation is over? We still have Ghost of Tsushima to come, and if the Switch counts, then that makes things more complicated.
God of War was overrated. The story was drawn out too much, and had a few bad parts to it. The combat wasn't the best, Bloodborne was better in that regard.
Xbox Series X2 sounds good.
Who's confused?
People are still trying to argue the PS5 is more powerful? So much denial, it's ridiculous.
For free? It's worth getting. But the gameplay is still, at its core, below average. That's not something content patches can fix. The original games still have more going for them.
Mass Effect 2 will always get my vote there. I know many disagree, but I would argue Red Dead Redemption 2's up there. It had one of the best stories in video games, and arguably the best open world.
Infamous Second Son and God of War 3 were the weakest parts of their trilogies. Dark Souls 3 probably wasn't as good as the first. Burnout 3 was great though, wish they'd make another one.
I knew all that Call of Duty was making me more smarter, hell yeah
Yep, Microsoft knows nothing about business. They should hire a team of PS4 fanboys to run things from here on.
I'll be getting both. But if I had to choose, I'd unironically go for SpongeBob.
Lol so with that logic, the PS5 isn't even as powerful as a current gen system?
