Reviewers didn't have a problem with the Mass Effect 3 ending initially. Even though they were smacked in the face with that monstrosity, they showed their lack of skills as critics when it completely flew over their head. So no, I don't trust the majority of outlets to have a proper opinion on the game.
You didn't deny that it would win best driving game, because you know damn well that it would.
I said I don't believe user awards matter...
True, it's all subjective. But I have yet to see a good argument against the notion that it didn't have a great story. There's many multi-hour videos on YouTube that have good breakdowns on why they felt the story didn't work.
Most of the time, the arguement against these breakdowns boil down to "You're just mad Joel died!" Which is utter nonsense. Yet, we're just supposed to accept that it's game of the year, and that it had an incred...
Yes... The users who gave it a 0 before playing it weren't fans, so they're not part of its fanbase... What are you even trying to argue?
I'm not denying that a lot of people liked it. Honestly, I'm impressed by how high its completion rate is considering how long it is. But that doesn't change that it's a divisive game. Yes there's those who despise it, but there's also a large amount of fans who'll defend everything about it, and would...
It would win best driving game if it were nominated, that's the sort of fanbase this game has. You could drive a horse, that's enough for them.
Regardless of how many awards The Last of Us 2 wins, it doesn't take away from the fact it has serious problems that were overlooked by most reviewers. Personally I thought the quality of writing was about as good as if you made a 20+ hour game out of the Mass Effect 3 ending.
I wouldn't call having plot holes an easter egg
It didn't even hold up when it released.
Just so long as it's not like Jak 2 we'll be fine I say.
Well considering this is a free optional feature that's probably more complicated than patching the games directly, I think people are fine with it.
Only PlayStation cultists will have serious complaints about it... Probably to make themselves feel better that they may not be getting such a feature.
That is an awfully strange thing to be laughing at... It just seems like you won an imaginary argument.
What? No Donny? Well that just killed all my hype for the Xbox release
Still my favourite Naughty Dog game. It's a shame they released a PS2 port instead of the PS3 remaster on PS4.
For god's sake, can't we have any news on Halo without PlayStation cultists coming in to spew hatred?
"This games gonna suck, god of war will be way better. why can't they make a cinematic third person story game instead? Tlou2 was the greatest game of all time after all"
Get lost, anyone who thinks God of War or The Last of Us 2 had great stories don't know what they're talking about. They get so caught up in the high quali...
Not everything calls for a top 10 list...
Teaser trailer... Pretty sure that's what they're called
Literally no one expected it to be out this year, even after the trailer.
Looks like Diablo 3, only better. Which still isn't good. Diablo 2 destroys it.
The Last of Us 2 just won game of the year, what do you think?
Yeah, it completely ruined the personality of the characters. It's like Toy Story if Buzz and Woody became best friends immediately.
The gameplay tapered off towards the end, but it was fine overall. Definitely one of the weaker entries in the series though.
Or they could make Bad Company 3 and prioritize 12v12 rush mode again.
There's plenty of videos on YouTube explaining why people disliked the story, if you wanted some insight.
@KyRo - Now that's just blatantly false.
