No one asked for Halo Infinite to be free to play, most people would prefer to buy it full price and have something like the Halo Reach credit system. Hell, some people are going to pay full price for the game, and most people are going to pay to play it through their Game Pass subscription.
Whether you like it or not, cosmetic items are part of the game, and people have the right to be pissed off when they have to pay for them.
As for the game itself... It's o...
Unfortunately, this 3:2 ratio will probably be the other way around by the time next gen hits.
Psychonauts 2 gets my vote. And while I don't think Forza Horizon 5 should win, I am surprised it isn't even nominated, considering it's the highest rated game of the year.
Even worse is that they allow players to have blue skins. When I'm quickly scanning a room to verify who's on my team, I've found it to be too deceptive. The game really needs a red v blue filter.
The challenge based progression is annoying. My suspicion is that it's only been made that way to sell these challenge swaps.
As for the game itself... It's okay. The maps are pretty bland. Halo 5 was better, Infinite just feels like a medioc...
You're right, I misread. Not a well done chart.
I have a Series X, but I gave my One X to my brother, who still uses it. It's still a good machine, and if they want sales from the Xbox One version then they should damn well put in some effort. It's rubbish that FromSoftware clearly put no effort into the One X version, when it only runs at 900p with no HDR, compared to 1080p with HDR on the PS4 Pro. It's also rubbish that people would deflect this with "just upgrade bro."
They really slacked off on the Xbox One X version going off this.
The Xbox UI may be more streamlined and efficient than when it started on Xbox One, but I think they made too many sacrifices to achieve it.
Back when the Xbox One launched, it looked like a proper next gen interface. The way the game or TV would continue playing in that 16:9 window within the home menu was so cool. It consistently looked more boring as they updated it. It's got to the point where even though I much preferred the OG X1 interface over the PS4 one, I now...
People expect more from Grand Theft Auto. These remasters don't even look as good as GTAIV, which isn't good enough for a lot people. You have to remember that these games are three generations old, so they need to have bigger improvements than something like the Mass Effect trilogy.
I'll be looking forward to this, Bugsnax was possibly my favourite game of 2020.
The few people who say their games are "copy paste" exaggerate, usually because they don't like PlayStation in the first place. But most of their major PS4 games were fairly similar in genre; third person, story driven action games. I think it's highlighted by how much inspiration God of War took from The Last of Us.
It looks like it has the same structure as Far Cry, not sure I'm a fan. But either way this was a much better showing than last time.
Yes... Full price. I'm talking about the full trilogy, not the individual releases.
Yeah, the straight ports were a ripoff too. I'm not going to applaud the remasters for being only a bit more expensive than overpriced ports.
The upgrades are so minor that the remasters are on mobile. Single modders have done way better jobs ages ago on PC. $60 is usually standard for remaster collections, yes. But that's usually either for newer games, or for...
I think it's insane that people are jumping at the chance to pay full price for minor upgrades to such old games, they don't even look as good as GTAIV.
Hopefully a fully fledged sequel will have voice acting... And Jimmy Neutron.
I don't think the combat ever held up in The Witcher 3... But Assassin's Creed? Really?
Yeah, it looks fine, but I'm still mad they cancelled a Superman game in favour of it. Same with the movies... We've had three bad Suicide Squad movies, and no Superman movie since Man of Steel.
Well they did dare them to sue. Either way, Sony should just make official ones if they have a problem with it.
It's almost as though it's not as easy as simply walking into GameStop and buying one.
"No one asked for Halo Infinite to be free to play" is a generalisation, which is suitable in this case. Most people didn't even think of the possibility, and the few who did were likely the type of people who would have had concerns with the free to play model.
I'm usually fine with this model. However, I would argue it's more shady for Halo Infinite. They knew the sales would be dramatically lower due to Game Pass, so they made the multiplayer free t...
