I know RGB is getting pretty trendy, but it's easy to do, and it looks pretty cool. Have built a few PCs over the years, but this latest one I used RGB for the first time, and am really pleased with it. It doesn't have to be rainbow barf, it's pretty customizable.
Again? lol
Some of these aren't bad at all, just mediocre. People often factor their expectations into their assessment. If you expect something to be amazing because it's sony first party, and it ends up just being just good or okay, that doesn't make the game objectively bad, it just means it didn't live up to your subjective expectations.
I wanna try this. Rogue-like/lite games are hit or miss for me. Loved Returnal and Rogue Legacy, a few others not so much though. I do like Greek myth though, so should be interesting at the very least.
Nintendo is really making out on the supply shortage. It's the only console you can just go into the store and buy. Will be interesting to see how things play out if/when the supply meets demand.
@TheDoomedGuy I referenced a poll in another comment on here, that kind of confirmed my suspicions. A lot of the hate is from people that never even tried the game, but rather just want to be part of a popular narrative. People are quick to jump onto these popular narratives, not only do they get to fit in with a group, but they don't have to put any effort into thinking for themselves. You see this with the cancel culture stuff, look at twitter, it's a cesspool of grade school nonse...
It's weird isn't it? How you're attacked and shamed for enjoying this game, which I thought was amazing. It's like the inverse of Last of Us 2, lol. The reaction I mean, which only had one acceptable opinion as well. Gaming community is becoming too hivemind-ish.
Maybe give it a try? I almost didn't play it because I thought that the game surely must be terrible, after all, there couldn't possibly be THAT much hate unless it was bad, right? I'm really glad I decided to think for myself and give it a shot.
Have you actually played it? I once saw a poll from IGN asking how many people will play the game now that the update fixed a bunch of issues. The answers were Yes. No. And "Haven't played it and don't intend to." (paraphrased). Like 50%+ of the responses were the third answer, which I think tells you a lot about the reaction to this game. I know it's cool or whatever to hate on the game, but having played it for hundreds of hours at this point on PC, I would buy it for ...
Steelbook? I got it for $20 for PC and PS4 (plays great on my PS5) each. Love the game, put in hundreds of hours. I want a steelbook though. I might have to triple dip for that reason. I think the hate mob against this game is silly, but it did allow me to get the game dirt cheap, so silver lining and all that. I hear the last gen versions, while greatly improved since launch, still suffer some performance issues. But if you're on the fence, and you have a decent PC or current gen console...
Depends whether you go by the definition of the word, which no one does anymore. Word gets thrown around so much for anything and everything it hardly has meaning anymore. It used to mean a person who believes in racial inferiority/superiority. Didn't make sense to use it as an adjective, because you would have to infer intent, or be a mind reader.
Tbf, Xbox fans would do the same if they had anything to brag about. We know this, because we see them trying to do so when they think they have even the slightest upper hand. So no, it's not a certain group, unless you mean fanboys in general, but judging by the rest of your comment, you didn't.
@tacoboto For a game like this the platform doesn't really seem relevant, unless you're trying to help market for a particular one.
How do you do misspell the word that badly in the headline and not notice?
Agreed. There are more than enough moral crusades these days from people that could probably benefit from turning that moral indignation inwards, from gamers and companies alike. Be the change you want to see, as they say. And yes, bring on Diablo :)
The best one by far IMO.
Looking forward to it, but I'll stick with my sennheisers, I'm sure the Pulse are solid nonetheless. The audio on PS5 with good headphones or speakers is really quite an achievement, noticeably stands out. Not a surprise, considering Sony are veterans of the sound industry, but still nice to see real focus paid to something that often gets somewhat overlooked in gaming.
Basically, getting offended draws attention, for better or worse, and anything that draws attention can be monetized. The internet and the culture around it has created a lot of perverse incentives for people to make money, which is unfortunate. If I were an alien coming to earth and experienced the internet without interacting with the real lives of the people, I would think I'd arrived at a planet full of lunatics.
Sea of Thieves all over again. Pay $60 for an unfinished game, and a few year later, you'll get your money's worth. I guess this is what they mean by GaaS. Eh, to each their own I guess.
