@swifty Yeah, I'm not defending the publishers. I didn't follow the leadup really, but from what I understand, they did some questionable business practices. The brilliant people creating the game didn't make that decision, and it kinda sucks that such amazing developers are paying the price for it, no one is acknowledging this.
People complain about this, but it is part of the art direction. It's a dark, dystopian vision. There seems to be a lot of narrative and art decisions that people just aren't picking up on.
Yeah, and it sucks for them, I'd be a little upset too, but that's not a fair assessment of the game. That's the bad version. On PC I didn't experience any of these issues. I saw the game for what it is, or is supposed to be, with little more than the occasional minor bug or glitch, surprisingly rare for an open world game this detailed. I don't think there is an open world game this detailed, nothing really comes close.
Can't wait. I know it's cool to hate on CDPR or whatever, but I loved the game. The fact that I played on PC probably influenced this to a certain degree, but the game is great, so ambitious and gorgeous, art direction is amazing. Plus the signature great storytelling from CDPR. The writing is just fantastic, characters that you actually care about. Gameplay was cool too, there are a ton of different ways you can approach the combat, it kinda lets you choose your "class". Su...
Beautiful visuals and fun gameplay. The combat was the highlight of the game for me, figuring out fun and creative ways to take down giant robot dinosaurs just never got old for me. Really tempted to go back and play again at 60fps.
Not bad, can't complain. I'll probably try Hitman at some point, and Overcooked looks like a game I could probably get my girlfriend to play with me.
Sony have always made pretty high quality hardware, wish more people would take things they hear from the internet and media with a grain of salt, as it's usually warranted.
@Silly gamear This is exactly how the "news" media behaves. They'll make any claim, no matter how ridiculous, on the flimsiest grounds. All you need is an "anonymous source" and you can claim anything, random internet person is kind of the equivalent in gaming media. It's not a huge issue in gaming media, apart from being annoying and frustrating, but when they openly lie about serious matters going on in the world, it just causes confusion and division. Everything...
Imagine my shock, lol. People will do anything to gin up controversy, good idea to be skeptical of just about anything on the internet.
Duh. Turns out predictable clickbait nonsense, is just that.
Man, American corporations need to stop sucking up to China. I know they want that billion+ people cash in, but man, they are committing an active genocide. At some point moral obligation comes into play, no?
Really? Deja Vu...
It's like they think people are dumb, and believe that Sony would just release an inferior console that would cause them a ton of bad PR and expenses with warranty claims. As if they just assume that Sony hasn't done far more targeted and specific internal testing. As if games "journalism" has dropped every pretense and operates under the assumption that all of their viewers/readers are morons.
You make more money focusing on traffic than you do being honest, a seemingly irreconcilable problem with media in general.
Cool idea. I can see this catching on with regular tables too as screen technology becomes better and more seamlessly integrated into other non-media applications.
These days I have such a backlog, that I really don't even pay attention to release dates. Not even tempted to. So of course I forget about delays as well, and generally have no idea when to expect games unless there's a lot of hype preceding the immediate release. Because of this, I find myself often saying: "Wow, this game is out already? Nice!" This probably has something to do with being a busy adult as well, but at the end of the day, not worrying about release schedule...
Ever wonder why people downvote completely innocuous statements? lol What's the real life equivalent of a downvote? A scoff, perhaps?
Man, they are really pumping that Fortnite money into the Epic store. Competition is always good for the consumer, so keep it up, I say.
You'd be better off flipping a coin than relying on reviews these days. Better off to just give it a shot yourself, talk to a friend that's played it or use gamefly or something.
Have you tried it? It really is a game changer. I thought it was going to be something of a gimmick, and then I tried it.
