Xbox's lack of quality first party titles is what ended Xbox. Playstation games releasing years afterwards on PC, I doubt will have any effect on their console.

Eh, it's cool, but that's a bit of a stretch.

I disagree. It's a bit of a mind!@#$, but there is a great story in there. Plus they did something I've never seen done in a game before, they incorporate the gameplay into the narrative, heavily. I am a sucker for creativity.

I get it, which is why I finish very few open world games. If it has a good story, I'll play longer, but eventually all of the busywork and fluff wear me out. There are a few exceptions, Horizon Zero Dawn springs to mind, I think that had more to do with me being hooked on the gameplay than anything else though. The story itself was okay, it had a good premise, but the delivery and "twist" were just okay IMO. Characters were rather forgettable too if I'm being honest. Anothe...

I never got into it. Seemed like the story had the groundwork to be great, but I couldn't get past all the busy work. It was as if their top priority was to make the game feel realistic, to the point of absurdity. The graphics were great, the gunplay seemed solid as well, but the open world gameplay mechanics weren't for me. One of these days I'm sure I'll go back to it, on PC this time, now that I finally snagged a 3000 series GPU. Hopefully the pretty graphics will make up f...

Not for someone like me who doesn't like subscriptions, but if you're someone who does, is there a better option anywhere? You can't really say with a straight face that Game Pass has a better library, lol. So what else is better?
Edit- Judging by your replies, I now see it was a mistake to take this comment in good faith.

I have enough launchers already. Why can't we go back to just download the game and installing it? Why are launchers necessary? I can do my own organization.

Yeah, just bring it to the west. I've played all 9 that have been translated, and was sad to see it end at CS4. World building in this series is crazy good.

Can't wait. Finally a reason to dust off the ol' Switch.

Some people like it, I thought those games were terrible. Literally some of the worst writing I'd ever seen. It felt like it was written by a forty year old man who failed horribly to depict the perspective of a teenage girl. It feels like it was written for teenage girls, but honestly fails in that regard as well. If you liked the games, then you'll probably like this one. Personally, I just don't get it. It seems like they do everything they can do force these games into somethi...

When you compare it's current library, especially compared to the competition, and what has been announced going forward, the choice is still blatantly clear.

I have both Switch and PS5, and Jrpgs are my favorite genre. Considering nearly every Jrpg on the Switch is also on PS4/5, and many exclusively so, and considering they generally look far better, and play smoother on the latter, I almost never play them on the Switch. Though in fairness, the next game on my list is a Switch game, Fire Emblem 3H, and whenever SMTV comes out, that'll be another 100+ hours sunk into it. But for me personally, Playstation has always been the home for Jrpgs, s...

It ain't the 90's anymore. Christian conservatives have zero influence in modern culture, we all know who has the influence. Amazon, Google, and Walmart aren't chanting "praise Jesus!", they're chanting Social Justice™. The new neo-paganism wearing the skin suit of the old school catholic church, has been far more successful than the religious right ever was, dominating every institution from government to corporate america. The idea that the political right has any ...

When I think of anxiety inducing games, the first that comes to mind is Alien Isolation, lol. I guess that was kind of the point though.

The game never really did take itself that seriously.

Sounds like a good idea tbh, under certain circumstances of course.

Masculinity seems like it's being marginalized in culture, but pretending it doesn't exist isn't going to make people forget about it.

Sony first party titles are becoming the best looking PC games available. Long after the console releases, but hey, PC exclusive gamers get to experience them too now. And considering the quality of the first party titles, I can see a fair amount of PC gamers deciding that they won't want to wait years, and picking up a playstation for this reason.

Seems like a pretty smart business strategy. Release a game on Playstation, everyone that owns one or doesn't want to wait years to play it, plays it. A few years down the road, anyone else that maybe wasn't interested or didn't own a playstation, or doesn't game on consoles, they get a shot at it as well. They've figured out how to have their cake and eat it too. Make exclusives, but allow the PC market to experience it as well, albeit long after the game has left the spo...
