But you can play them on the Wii U already. Nintendo paid money to add the Wii U features and they lose money on each Wii U sold. Why should you NOT pay to upgrade?
If you choose to point out how biased IGN is against Sony, you should do so on an article that doesn't praise them like this one does. An article that states how Sony's system is better than Nintendo's doesn't exactly offer good evidence to their bias.
Okami was great. I don't know why you specified the HD verson, but anyway. Okami didn't fix one of the big issues Knight_Crawler pointed out, the wolf didn't talk either. Personally I don't care if Link talks. I wouldn't mind voice acting for the supporting characters though.
I see you and I are both getting disagrees. Maybe one of those kind people could explain why it's bad that Nintendo announced new games.
I think people are reading way way too much into this Nintendo Direct. Nintendo announced games and explained their plans for Miiverse. Now people are wondering "Why did they tell us this? They must be desperate." But if they didn't tell us this then we wouldn't know. Is it bad for companies to tell us things? I underst...
I agree. I mean, they already have the engine running on 3DS. It'd be a waste not to make MM.
But they were just relaying information... how does that get spun negatively?
But every Nintendo console since the GameCube has included it. And the handhelds were ALL BC with at least the previous generation. GB color could play GB games, GB Advance could play all GB games, DS could play GBA, 3DS could play DS, etc.
People say BC isn't important but it must be to someone. Sony, MS, and Nintendo seem to put a lot of effort into making sure their systems are. Maybe MS to a lesser extent but at least they went through the motions.
@a_squirrell
For real. I never thought of that before. Even if they do gaikai for BC they'll be charging for it.
The people who think Wind Waker is the best Zelda are the people saying that Wind Waker is the best Zelda. People who think Majora's Mask is the best would say Majora's Mask is the best. No one is saying that though because right now WW is relevant and MM isn't.
But they're just random screen shots. You can google image search "video games" and get the same comparison.
And out of that Nintendo Direct the only game they showed that is anywhere close to being done is the Wonderful 101. We can't seriously compare completed games on mature consoles to first wave pre alpha games on the Wii U, especially when we all know the Wii U isn't powerful enough to get by on pure grunt. Developers are going to need some experie...
We didn't start the fire. It was always burning since the world's been turning.
On disc DLC is the worst trend in gaming. It's like owning a house and paying money, not to build an addition, but to unlock the door leading to it.
And all is right with the world again.
I'm hoping they add orchestral tracks like they did with Skyward Sword.
Good idea. I'd be surprised if they didn't do both.
I liked some of the ideas in the article, though seem pretty unlikely. Such as: including 4 Swords Adventure with online co-op and including the original untouched graphics as an option.
If discs aren't BC then neither will your digital games be. The problem isn't the drive, it's the PS4's archetecture. I predict nothing will be BC and that makes me very sad. I'll still buy a PS4 either way but I want BC. Honestly I'm surprised how many people don't care.
You put a lot of thought into that. Well said, bubble up.
I wouldn't rule it out either but I don't like region locked systems and I definitely don't like paying for basic online. They'd have to change those two things and get a bunch of great exclusives. I have nothing against Xbox specifically of course.
C'mon Kobe, let them enjoy their brief time in the sun, they've earned it.
From the article: "What will begin to slowly surprise people is when the third parties and indie developers begin a slow but steady migration to the Wii U console itself. Outside of being cheaper to develop for than (the) competition..."
Everything else in the article seems at least possible but I don't know about this reasoning. I say that because we've heard this before at the beginning of the last generation. What ended up happening is developers wanted t...
