I don't know who this demo will please... I'm already planning to buy other games instead of Rayman in September. This demo doesn't change that.
I don't understand why this would make people angry. Early adopters know this kind of thing happens all the time. I bought my Wii U at launch and knew exactly what I was getting into. It's a risk buying early. Everyone knows if you're patient you can get a better deal, but who wants to be patient :).
ZombieU is a good game. It has some flaws but it's still one of the best survival horror games recently.
And this game has so much more hype than Sonic. I honestly think over half the people that own Wii Us would have bought this. It's the first game that people were actually looking forward to.
I was going to get this game when it came out this month, but now that it won't be out until September I'll be skipping it. There are other games I'm already planning on buying around that time.
That summed up many people's feelings perfectly. Well said.
I don't know who disagreed with lilbroRx but he's right. OK, maybe 99% about the delay. I'm sure there's a couple crazy fanboys who just straight up hate PS3 and 360, but they don't speak for the whole.
Why do I care? Hm, I don't know.
By the way, I hear GTAV is being delayed for seven months while they port a Wii U version. Cool, right?
The game as far as I can tell from the demo, is great. I'm happy more people will get to play it. I also don't need extra content or anything for it being delayed. I wish they would just release it on time.
I'm trying to think, did Nintendo call Rayman Legends an exclusive? I thought they only said it was a launch window title. Of course, launch window title was wrong too...
I agree, it is childish to boycott the game, but if I bought it I would just feel like Ubisoft's b*tch.
I wish I could support the developers and not support the publisher.
<< Conflicted
(Edit: To clarify, I don't care about it being multiplat, I'm talking about the delay.)
Like everyone already said, I just want to play the damn game. I'm angry about the unnecessary delay, not that it's no longer exclusive.
Thanks guys! Honestly I didn't even know I could win anything :)
I totally don't understand your reply, lilbroRX. Chadboban didn't say Wii U owners hate that they're losing their exclusive. He was just stating he was happy it's going multiplat, as am I. Chad also said his one complaint is the delay... and then you said the same thing. So what are you disagreeing with?
Blah, no one can say the Wii U is 'not next-gen'. You can say, "the Wii U doesn't deserve to be considered next-gen" even though it technically is. That's your opinion.
If my dad hated me because compared to the other boys I'm weak and I stutter, he could say "I have no son!" He may 100% deny that I am the next generation. I am though.
@deafdani, Gamer 1982,
I agree with both of you. I blame Nintendo for this. If they're going to claim "launch window" they better make sure of that first. Also since many people assumed it was a Wii U launch title, it'll feel like an 11 month delay to them. wtf
I love games going multiplat. More people being able to buy a game on their only system or their system of choice is a good thing.
Honestly I'm completely shocked, not about it going multiplat, but the SEVEN month delay. I thought the game was almost finished??
If Nintendo doesn't quench your thirst, you already have two other companies doing just that. Sony says "If you like coffee, you must have liked our last coffee. Well our new coffee has the exact same delicious flavor but it's doubly strong." MS says "If you like coffee, you must have liked our last coffee. Sorry 80% of our cups melted. Try our new double strong coffee!" And Nintendo says "I just made some lemonade, guys! It's sweet and comes with a crazy ...
I totally agree with the article. There's way too much hand holding in recent Zeldas. Hopefully with the classic style out of order dungeons will come the same sense of exploration and less explanation.
It does come off as condescending. Unless this demo is half the game with the ability to save your progress, it doesn't fix any of the problems they made for themselves.
