@SlyFoxC: $200 can get you a respectable graphics card these days that stomps today's consoles and more than likely are on par or possibly better than next gen--especially if you pick them up when on sale. You don't "need" to spend the $500+ that some of us do.
It just depends on how much you're willing to spend and at what settings you want to play at. When it comes to PC its all about choices. I've known people that bought "weaker" ca...
I never did beat it but I loved the game. I stopped playing at some huge factory/lab near or on last disc (don't remember) due to a pain of a boss fight and just never went back for some reason.
Some of the emotional storytelling was great (first disc especially, think near the end of it).
@Ames: Technically, you're probably right but you never know. The Samaritan demo was about on par or even better and was running real-time and although that isn't the same as gameplay it proves that level of fidelity is possible--just would require one powerful PC (which is what they're talking about--low settings wouldn't be anywhere near it--2077 could sort of be a new Crysis when it comes out where it could take years to run at max smoothly for most).
Wha...
Probably network problems--for myself and most friends around the US it was the laggiest Halo yet. It wasn't near as bad as some games though but when it was at its worst was just beyond bad. Other times though was fine but just consistenty wasn't there even compared to other p2p server games (looking at you Gears, which is saying something).
I haven't played in over a month though so may be better now, no clue. We've just never had that kind of problem eve...
I just liked the headline, but I also agree with the article. The next 2 months sees something for just about everyone and to top it off they're almost all for fans of existing franchises. Plus the platform division is great as well (which really does mean something for everyone).
Makes for a serious pain on the budget though so will have to pick and choose between all the different games. Not to mention many games are expected to be released around April or May as wel...
I didn't know that, at the time was in a multiplayer slump and never tried it. Even better news though that they've had more experience than I knew about.

Personally I think its great they picked it up--just hope they do story justice. This generation we have seen several attempts at Battlefield style gameplay and think Crytek could very well make Homefront 2 the forerunner of competition.
Crytek does know how to do shooters as every Crysis has solid gunplay no matter if you liked the design choices or not. They've teased vehicles here and there (tank level in original Crysis was probably best) and they definitely know ho...
Relic is mostly a PC developer with a few console titles under their wing. It was a no brainer someone would pick them up and Sega is a perfect fit as already has Creative Assembly games (another predominant PC rts dev).
Other than Blizzard, Sega now has one of biggest RTS markets out there (totally different types of games, but strategy still)--arguably bigger actually as Sega releases much more often and with more variety.
I'm not a big fan of reboots/remakes but I don't see the harm of it either. If done well anyways.
Tomb Raider, IMO, looks great. It might not be the TR of old and Lara does start off a little too "weak", but in all honesty, that is how a person should react when thrown into a world like this for the first time. So as a reboot origin story, I think it sounds pretty real and most of the videos seem completely "in character" for the new Lara Croft ...
I wonder if the Red Faction IP might had been lumped into the Volition sale, as they made the games. It doesn't necessarily mean anything but it gives me hope and would keep it 'in house' so to speak at the same time.
I have no clue with Destroy all Humans though as its developer is dead (Pandemic) and there was no mention of it all. Hopefully it didn't just die off as it was fun, its own weird way.
I agree with everything said, but I really like some of the more obvious changes. Graphics look a bit crisper and reduced bloom is huge bonus as it was ridiculous. Gunplay seems a bit tighter as well although I never used guns much anyways.
I'm looking forward to more zombie slaying no matter what, plus I love to explore.
Looks perfect for anyone that has children, are a child at heart still, or just open to a good time. Nostalgic for Lego time as a kid now ;) Pretty much, if you own a Wii U, there is a good chance you can fine some reason to buy this game.
This game looks so cool, a family friendly Lego based GTA pretty much (in the sense of open world, story driven gameplay with sandbox to do your own thing in--at least according to this trailer). Almost wish I had a Wii U as just looks fun (if you like other Lego games especially). I can really see this game doing well if it plays half as good as it looks.
To be fair, CoD and UT are no where near the same type of shooter. The differences are huge other than they both have guns and a definite lack of realism.
There is plenty of room for diversity and people that lump some games together are just kidding themselves as the games can play completely different and have different fans (with some that like both of course).
A game doesn't need to sell 10 million like CoD to be profitable, especially as Unreal has...
On paper perhaps, but Live is tied to Xbox brand so you can't really have one without the other at this point. It would be cheaper for Sony to add the exact same features than buy both and try to intigrate it with PSN at the same time.
Xbox Live however would be another lure for other companies to pick it up as they could get consoles, games, and a multimedia online distribution system all at once. The trade off is initial price. Live would really help bring in profits...
Personally I thought the first was most "pure". I didn't really care for the introduction of sticky grenades, a bunch of super weapon pickups, etc (beam, mortar) and especially the sawed off. I really enjoyed 2/3 for campaign and coop though and both had some enjoyable multiplayer but just not quite the same (but atleast they removed active sniper downing... best thing they ever did).
I'm hopeful Judgement will be good and want to see where they take it wi...
Number one reason why Sony wouldn't buy Xbox: there is no need to. If the Xbox for some reason did die out it would just increase sales of Playstations as there would be no direct competition to divide market share. The only thing they might buy is IP right and patents but no need for the Xbox brand.
Honestly, I bet Halo liscense would be the most fought over object related to Xbox. Affording to pick up a console company is not the same as managing one and unless you ...
@FatOldMan: Within their rights, yes. That doesn't make it the right thing to do though or even justifiable.
Months before the game was even released it was announced that Xbox was getting timed exclusivity on DLC so its his own fault for either getting it on the 'wrong' console (in terms of DLC being a day one priority) or being uninformed.
Plus, its DLC... Bethesda didn't even have to make it. Its like complaining you bought a movie and w...
@Muerte2494
The difference between PSN going down and DLC from Bethesda is simple: PSN going down denied you from playing PS3 games (a couple completely, some just online) so it was a much bigger deal. DLC however is exactly that--its an option that no one forces on you and until its released it doesn't effect your actual gaming experience whatsoever. The wait sucked but sometimes sh*t happens--sorry.
