Not a huge DMC fan and still don't like the character design change but it does look good. I just love PC due to much cleaner and sharper visuals and think that will end up being the biggest evolution next gen. Frame rate increase is nice too ;)
I probably won't pick this up till some sell though--as I said not a huge fan of DMC and too much of a backlog I've been neglecting. Still, I love PC support more devs are giving so I try to support those I enjoy at som...
Great gameplay video, nice to see more in game footage and top notch at that.
@Iamnsuperman: That's a valid point but think in most ways this is targeting more console/casual PC users than the hardcore PC gamer anyways. Even today not everyone has a PC, and definitely not a gaming rig--even an older one as strong as consoles today.
What we know about steam box is even less than rumors surrounding next gen consoles though. More than likely Valve isn't directly competing for console market anyways and is more for a streamlined, intro to PC gam...
If you watch the preshow online you get to see the rest of the awards being shown before the ceremony ;)
The whole "awards show" angle is a joke but its still mildly entertaining at times and had a few cool videos and some well deserved award choices this time around. It's more like an MTV awards show than an Oscars but in many ways more commercialized/publicity based even.
Still, I got a few laughs (Southpark opening--been a while since watche...
If you simply follow most post apocalyptic story lines: someone has to die. Add in zombies/infected then one of the two will become infected or otherwise die saving the other (or both--fighting off infection till bitter end and die from mercy killing or in one last act of humanity). Either is very possible with the relationship shown between Joel and Ellie.
Happy endings are nice and all but don't really suit post apocalyptic settings when there is more than one charac...
I'm hoping it gets shown at VGAs but I'm not holding my breath. I just really want to see more in game footage of it.
Perhaps but THQ could use all the help they can get. Plus Creative Assembly might just steal Warhammer thunder (even if different type of game as doubt it'll compete directly with way 40k has gone).
I pretty much have to agree with the article and everyone else posting here. Prey 2 looked and sounded both ambitious and entertaining in a way few games are. I always hoped it went silent for next gen and maybe even as a launch title just as the original Prey was. It's just one of those games that is still "around" even though rumored to be delayed/cancelled/shelved and hope Bethedsa picks it back up and let's them finish it.
Even old videos make it look...
Creative Assembly and Warhammer... can't wait. Not good news for THQ though.
Only bad thing about dx11 only is it will end up hurting PC sales due to older cards still being used by many (probably the majority actually). Granted I'm sure quite a few people will end up buying it anyways and then complain they can't play it due to their video card (which sucks for them but is why you read requirements).
Personally I'm looking forward to it and dx11 cards have been around for years--time to upgrade finally for some people (don't have to ...
I really hope the reboot plays as well as it looks. I love action adventure games and would be nice to see more of them (success of Uncharted is nice as doubt TR would had gone this direction without it). I also hope it doesn't lose too much of its identity though.
Thanks, but I went ahead and bought 4gb for a reason ;)
I meet high performance so I'm happy but I'm still thinking of picking up another 680 pretty soon anyways. It's overkill really but I've become addicted to all the AA, downsampling from higher res, and having room for more mods. I might wait and see how Crysis 3 pushes it first though (and if we hear more about 700s by then).
Nope, Theodore as everyone knows Simon is the best and Alvin is just a pretty face.
I totally disagree--I think you think Farcry 2 is only 99.99999% better and I don't believe in rounding up.
Just for sake of disagreeing with personal opinions as we all know its going to happen ;)
Makes me think of the movie AI personally--but I thought the same thing as well. I had one when I was growing up ;)
I'd buy one and make it face a corner just to watch it cry--is that wrong?
Have it on PC and hope its true and not just a rumor or hoax. I'd love me some more Rage, especially as have it on PC and runs much smoother now. I have faith that they would had listened to some of the feedback and hopefully took it to heart (to me most were minor complaints, other than ending and some coop lag when rented on PS3 to play with a friend).
I hope it does well but since it has been so long I know quite a few probably sold their copy by now which won't ...
I'd love them to do something new besides a shooter but more AAA shooters isn't necessarily a bad thing as it'll add something fresh to fight. Hopefully it won't be too much of the same though. I wonder if it'll be a FPS, TPS, or a space shooter more like Star Fox (which I doubt but would be cool to have a new flight game even if arcadey). Hopefully it'll have a mix of gameplay mechanics though as that's one of Halo's strong points IMO.

Agree with ThatEnglishDude: The game, for the most part, is very well optimized. Drivers are main issue and new ones can make a huge difference--but drivers are often the issue anyways for PC games (especially new ones). I've crashed once so far but I've been pushing my card to the limit which isn't the game's fault.
I have a 680 ftw edition btw. Second arrived today... can't wait to get off work. 4x+ msaa is biggest issue for one 680 but I'm usi...
