I actually disagree: I think they are going to make them more "human" as you are essentially playing a peacekeeper that is meant to keep both factions in check this time around. As it is also supposed to be a little more narrative this time around we will likely be seeing more of both sides outside of strict combat segments (such as the beginning--before the blow out you saw a city in its prime during peacetime with non combatant npcs "interacting" seperate from yourself...
Maxed out it really does look great and so far runs smooth for me as well (1.5h in).
The gun play is pretty nice although stealth so far is pretty OP ;) Well worth my purchase if it holds up and can't wait to experience more of it. I'm glad they did it justice yet again as one of the best new IPs by far in years (imo) as well as a pretty cool book. Now I have to hunt down the next part of the book series in English though :(
I can sort of understand what you are talking about with alcoholism and drug addiction as they are entirely dependent on a person embibing them in the first place but Depression is another matter entirely.
There is a difference between "being or feeling depressed" and living with Depression. Those that can't understand that simply haven't truly encountered it or refuse to see the truth. The vast majority of people that actually suffer from Depression can b...
Although some people might not be interested I actually hope its good. I like the idea and think its perfect era for a "classic" sci-fi game (much like old sci-fi films which looking back are kind of cheesy but often good fun). Futuristic games are cool and all but this time period is perfect IMO and hope they do it justice.
I expect it will be smaller scale than flooding a large portion of the map however it might be able to help funnel the majority of vehicles/enemies to certain spots. Sort of like how you could take out some bridges or damage them where tanks couldn't cross easily (which was one of the cooler things about BF2: MC).
No matter how its used though anything that helps add more unpredictability is fine by me (although as they said it could still be campaign specific feature). ...
Turn based but I agree--was a blast. Granted Civ games have always been right up my alley even if time consuming (PC especially). Revolution was a nice change of pace but definitely no replacement.
Agreed--Halo Wars was probably my favorite console realtime strategy game as well (turn based is tougher, but loved Civilization: Revolution). Its sad it was the dev's last game but I think it was at least good that they went out proving they could do it and do it well. I really wish we got a part 2 or came out for PC as well (probably wouldn't had been "as good" compared to some PC strategy games but I would bought it).
I hope we see a few next gen at lea...
Nintendo isn't going anywhere but I think they were expecting too much and resting on Wii's laurels to carry the Wii U to early success. Unfortunately until they get enough games to warrant buying a Wii U and scrap all support/supply of the Wii it won't get the sales they really hope for (and probably not as much--but it should see a boost then).
I never bought a Wii but at least am on the fence for a Wii U at this point even knowing next gen consoles are not far...
Defiance is fun but if you didn't pick it up the wait should pay off as getting it cheaper never hurts. It lacks "end game" to me from an MMO perspective and isn't really a "great game" but instead a fun one (IMO) which is why I am happy with my purchase.
I need to pick it up again and see if a patch has fixed some of the instances that kept bugging and could never experience fully.
I also want to see what dlc turns out to be but ...
@yesmtnameissumo: thx, sounds about right as might had been free for gold. Not sure as I said.
I'm not surprised if they do this, especially for certain game types. I liked the model for Guardians of Middle Earth (got it free from PS+ and ended up buying season pass and all other heroes thus far) and believe it was RAW that allowed you to purchase classes independently to play the full game.
Naturally MMOs and highly social games are ideal (both are already the "norm" for FTP model) but other games could profit from picking it up. Another option would b...
Technically isn't Happy Wars or whatever ftp? I never tried it but think it was advertised as FTP when I saw its trailer once. Think Ascend was shown at the same time...
FTP equal to Sony's probably not though.
Pretty much. Standalone expansion with optional save transfer. Its not the first of its kind by any means but some people don't like the idea--PC has seen this time of game the most though.
I cant wait to (not) read handpicked responses that put games in a negative light.
Honestly those that somehow think it is a direct reaction to the PS4 reveal are kidding themselves.
Social media sharing has been a huge phenomenon for years and its a natural evolution of removing the middle man (or at least bringing it mainstream--no way its going to replace PC recording and especially editing any time soon for "pros") for both consoles
Halo for example is one of the most successful stories when it comes to Machinima and has...
Fallout 4 seems the best choice for existing IP--Skyrim is still "new enough" where I am not in quite as much of a rush for a new ES yet. Fallout though could be fantastic and not as many games remotely like it to help hold you over (post apocalyptic vs fantasy open world that is).
I wouldn't mind a new IP though that is equally as epic in scale with a different setting as well.
On a somewhat related note... wonder what is going on with Fallout...
I agreed but doubt PGR and Forza would release simultaneously ;) Its more likely we will see one release and another saved for next year.
I would love a new Kameo personally as well or something else that is family friendly yet enjoyable for different age groups. Sometimes you just want a low key title to relax with (part of why Lego games are popular--not many games on 360/PS3 that fill that market lately). I actually enjoyed Viva Piñata as well--sim farm meets wacka...
Personally I expect MS to have already funded it or at least talk to them about it.
Alan Wake was arguably one of the most unique and coolest exclusives the 360 had. Its sales aren't up to the other, bigger games but 2m is great for a new IP especially as not as mainstream.
Since MS is rumored to be wanting exclusive shows for Live I wonder if some will be game related... Alan Wake would be cool miniseries or movie.
I hope its a next gen title or cross gen at very least--DR was one of the fun games to play "early on" this gen and would live for a similar experience for 3.
Nothing wrong with over the top zombie slaying with tongue in check sense of humor (Shawn of the Dead for example is awesome "zombie" flick with similar vibe). I love truly dark games as well but DR had some great Pychos because of the way the game was designed (Clown especially).
Would still be better than top 75 creepiest male cosplay... barely.
