Agreed. The next month or two are going to be full of more and more rumors and "leaks" though as it leads up to both the rumored Xbox reveal as well as E3 in June. I'm sure some of it will be true (Ryse or Forza seems pretty likely for example) but good luck figuring out what all is total BS or taken out if context.

I just want E3 to come along so we see (hopefully) both new consoles and a nice assortment of next gen games for each (as well as some that will l...

I hope Patriots is good--I love varied game options in many Tom Clancy games.

Tom Clancy in part has inadvertatedly helped make Ubisoft what it is today as all the Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games have all had a loyal following and continues to be (for the most part) enjoyable experiences. Plus I love some good coop even if in its own game mode.

It might not be as big as a franchise as some others but it definitely has left its mark.

I too wouldn't mind a new, upgraded Crackdown. It was a really cool idea and a lot of fun to play with friends especially. With new hardware they could iron out a few of its weak points as well as expanding a bit on the core design.

I enjoyed the first more though although I always thought it needed more variety and enemy encounters. I would love for MS (or any company) to take a look at some of the MMO shooters (like Defiance now) but keep the verticalicity where you ...

They could allow rental licensing by creating watermarked disks sold specifically to rental companies that a console could recognize seperate from retail "consumer" versions. When someone stated using watermarked discs a while back got into think of different ways it could be implemented without assigning a disc to a particular console/ID. In theory Gamefly could work exactly as it does today using a simple watermark--and in effect circumvent anti used game protections as you coul...

@Captain Qwark 9:

If it could suck your balls, pretty sure next Xbox would be best selling console next gen.

Good support is a must for MMOs and sooner they can fix things the better I say.

I'm actually playing on the 360 (friend bought it and talked me into it). I have seen a few issues already but most aren't any different than any MMO launch experiences and its actually rather fun. Console graphics suck naturally though as hardware is huge limitation for games of this scale but knew that beforehand. The game itself is pretty good so far and can see me playing it for a ...

Technically them leaving due to share buyout is all just speculation but its also a fair assumption. People often leave companies around large buyouts or mergers. (Think they bought what, 45% or more of the company).

It is true though several lead employees have left in the last year which is never great news. Nothing is really known about why anyone really left, just speculation other than "take time off"/"move on" like many stated as their reason for t...

@nthstew: Why wouldn't it count, because you didn't like it? They also released UT3 which was another decent game but far from great. I enjoyed it for a while but lacked longevity for me.

Fortnite is their next game I'm looking forward to but hope next gen they do something new. It sounds fun anyways but will have to wait and see as it hasn't really gotten much information out for it. Epic has to have something big coming as they've been remarkably si...

I enjoy their shooters but wouldn't mind something different to play either.

Between Infinity Blade and the Elemental demo I wouldn't mind seeing them make an Action RPG if they could do it right. Probably more in the vein of old EQ/D&D top down sort (ps2/Xbox) as it would let the engine shine as well as allow 2-4 player coop relatively easily. I just wish we had more games like them (and marvel/Xmen) this gen but guess profits weren't high enough so they sc...

Even if not April's Fools its hard to believe they'd be using a Titan without pricing themselves out of console competition.

I was wondering when someone was going to come out with new Xbox info for April Fools. Now my waiting is done.

You can pick it up from other distributors easy enough. Gog.com has hundreds of cheap classic PC games and if in no rush they have some great sales as well. I actually haven't used it before but I constantly think about doing so ;) I'm sure other sites have it as well.

Got to love all the April's Fools prep work. I can't wait to shift through all the nonsense. However I'm sure someone somewhere will use April Fools as an actual tease/leak and no one will know it till its proven true much later on down the road. Good luck trying to figure it out though.

I can pretty much count on at least a few good MS/Sony fictional doom and gloom stories though as they're popular on every other day of the year as well.

Flopped... by no means was it a flop. It sold 3 times as many as their last generation which is huge and even if you're going to be extremely liberal with new console purchases from RRoD they would had sold at least twice as many as original Xbox. 2-3x growth is huge and just can't be denied no matter the reasons behind it.

I'm sure they probably wouldn't had sold quite as many 360s if PS3 went first but the difference would be much smaller than you'd pr...

As others said, the game itself likely brought a tidy profit and was a success in its own right. The publisher though was expecting more (which is nuts) and likely was wanting more sales simply to offset losses and expenses elsewhere.

Some of the enemy wave sections were a little over the top ;) I didn't think it was too bad at most other times though.

I actually liked it as long as it wasn't too crazy as you had to worry about melee, ranged, and explosives its just it went from one extreme to the other quite often (light to heavy resistance) which can get monotonous after a while. Different enemy types (and not ao many of each at once) would had helped keep action up without feeling quite so shoo...

As all reviews are basically opinion pieces and in most ways the reviewer was looking at it through old school TR goggles I can't argue about most of his qualms. The game was noticeably less TR than the old games but still a great game which is my main problem with the review (the final score). On its own the game can hold up pretty well with all the 8-9+ reviews it received.

Essentially all of the review's most negative issues were in relation to TR of old (too muc...

I actually think BFBC1 had the most 'Battlefield' campaign as many levels were more open and left room to explore or take a slightly different approach (more often). Both BC2 and BF3 were more narrowly focused which felt more CoDish in comparison. The characters were not exactly what I was expecting (although it suited the name/story perfectly) from a Battlefield game but overall Bad Company games have had much better campaigns imo.

Since DICE seems to be accepting ...
