Your ISP and personal internet connection is only part of what makes everything work "right" (or not).
More or better servers and server locations still have a lot to do with actual accessing anything at optimal levels (especially for large networks like PSN/XBL). I have no clue how much of a difference is between the two but I know in my case the difference is significant for some reason no matter how they are connected/networked (even wired directly to PS3 its sl...
Simple answer: games and existing friends.
That said: its what still makes me "consider" the console as no way I will buy one "just because".
I have a feeling though friends won't really cut it as an excuse as many do have both consoles and with PS4's (likely) better social aspects staying in contact will be just as easy or more so than the 360 of today. With new consoles releasing at similar times its easy enough to make a shif...
For one: this entire site is for gaming--not just console gaming. Maybe just maybe some "console gamers" need to get over themselves and accept that the world doesn't revolve around them either. Hearing them throw down the same tired "PC gamers are insecure" and other stupid trite sayings doesn't change the fact we visit the same sites and occasionally enjoy hearing from people in the industry outside of console-centric interviews.
Unfortunately...
It probably would come our way as most Xbox third party exclusives do. But then it wont be considered an exclusive by some anyways...
Probably the same reason we have gotten "why I won't buy One" articles--its what people have to write about. In the end both are just opinion pieces and have supporters from both sides.
I'm curious how it will work and hope its handled well. Games have been crossing into other mediums for decades but most (especially live action) don't translate well for one reason or another.
There have been a few standout examples this gen where it can work reasonably well (most animated) but MS has been pushing this sort of thing for years particularly hard (comparatively speaking--Viva Piñata cartoon, Halo everything, etc) so at least its not coming out of ...
I hated patching DC Universe on day one :( Was by far most annoying DL I have encountered so far.
I agreed although depends on the circumstances/GF. Hopefully you are bit more tactful though if you do try to justify it... or it probably won't matter anymore.
I like GDC Europe (well all regions) as I know I get to see more of the big Names but also a few games that don't get as much love here in the States.
I can't wait for E3, GDCE and TGS among others. I hope we get to see some great titles and they actually make it this way (as hate not being able to play some games because of region issues).
I hope this game turns out good and gets a nice in game trailer at E3.
I like the way enemies appear to look from both the Live Action trailer and the few screens we have gotten thus far. I just hope gameplay and story can creep us out sufficiently and not be a cheesy mess or too action packed (my fear for all things "horror" related).
It looks sort of RE meets Silent Hill at times so want to find out more about it.
I live in Oklahoma which is basically where Native Americans of all types were "shipped" to make way for "American progress" (primarily east coast though).
The character might not be the most stereotypical example but he is clearly of NA lineage and not too far down the line. Mixed is possible though but depends on what tribe/region as NA tribes ran from very Asianic (northwest), to stereotypical "red" and more.
It does nothing for games that we have had and are used to.
I still like the tech and believe it has potential but its just never been reached and instead marketed more towards casuals, families, or as a non gaming device. I never bought one though for the reasons above. It "could" be great but only for certain uses which is the problem--I still don't want to have to rely on it.
The old tech demos are still the coolest "gaming" uses ...
I totally want a house like Sarah from Eureka--but only on her good days. Xbox One is just the beginning.
I'm curious too but I don't see why it would--people can technically have a friend/family member come over and do the same thing. They could add an extra fluff 0pt achievements/trophies though for "a helping hand" or "a friend in need".
I have been waiting for the possibity for years. I dream of a day when games become cross platform and if I pick up one version I can play with people from others. More than that though the possibility of "bundles" where its the game and not the platform that matters.
As someone said Portal 2 did it for PS3/PC and several PSN/Vita games work like that now as well (more closely related but same idea). Being able to decide which platform I can play on at any given ...
Because gaming is still a facet of the console's demographic--just not the only one they are focusing on this time. The reveal had a little for many demographics but not enough for its existing one (gamers). It was basically more what I would expected at CES than just weeks from E3.
The big problem was many were expecting a game conference when it was actually more on par with what MS does with any consumer electronic device they have made. Unfortunate and disastrous f...
Old school Duke Nukem meets Wolfenstein? Or am I watching some other seriously crazy video?
I actually think the XBox is likely to get similar support from them but it doesn't hurt that they are definitely getting their name out there with Sony fans. Bungie has a good name in gaming but showing close ties with being at their conferences is still a great move.
I'm assuming since they mentioned that the game will be shown at Sony's E3 conference that MS won't have them at their's (but you never know). Hopefully MS can show off something special s...
Didn't know they closed the studio--will have to look into that. Sucks for them as actually liked the game but far from great as either an MMO or TPS.
I have Puzzle Quest and Plants vs Zombies both in 2-3 different platforms--even have some retail games that way (console/PC versions--mostly bought second on sale though or later on when price dropped).
Just saying if its good and price is right a ton of people could be interested. Its why HD remakes still sell well as it might look better but its still (usually and hopefully) the same experience from our past.
