I like your optimism about the next console, you and the ten other guys who buy it should have pizza parties and stuff.
The level of mismanagement at xbox is shocking, basically 15 years of nothing but failure after failure on top of failure.
They legitimately should be out of business.
Sony is not going to stop making games.
They have competition from PC, Nintendo, mobile, streaming, subscriptions and countless other things that vie for time and money.
Even if it was true they didn't have competition they are not going to close down their studios and stop making games.

This comment seems on point.
"Another eagle-eyed fan pointed to existing rumors of a PS5 Pro, writing, "If Sony does release a PS5 Pro I expect it to be around $600. Microsoft releasing a 2TB Xbox Series X for the same price just seems dumb."
PlayStation might actually make the Pro $500 (or $550) which has been rumored to be a possible price with a price drop on the base PS5.
Are you actually even serious? This may be the most ridiculous thing you have ever said.
Selling games makes money for them and they still want to attract users to their platform through software.
It's wild that you apparently think PlayStation only makes games because of Microsoft, PlayStation existed before xbox did.
"Harry Potter is a huge franchise, but the quidditch game is far from successful... Or good"
It hasn't even released yet..
@andy85
This is it, I also have a gaming PC, and I just find it to be a hassle.
Most of my gaming is done on a multi monitor setup which my PS5 is connected to the center monitor so I can use my PC for other things on the other monitors everything is smooth, no problems.
When I want to game on my PC it's always a hassle. If I game full screen I have to alt tab and because windows is absolute garbage it's this struggle as all my ...
"only idiots wouldnt know they have to make their money back."
But everyone including "industry analysts" gaming "journalists" and other people who should have (and did) know kept telling people everything was great and fine and nothing was going to change. And even when things did start to change they either didn't report anything negative or continued to say everything was dandy.
I mean look at the coverage of what has...
"It didn't impact Xbox console players."
Yea, but this is the same type of thing they always say. Look at what they were saying 5 to 10 years ago and where is xbox console today, down way down.
Obviously, in the 3 months since they started putting games on PlayStation there hasn't been a noticeable shift, but in 3 years or 10 years...
The fact of the matter is xbox as a console platform is failing, and I don't car...
$20 dollars a month isn't a "low monthly charge" it may actually be the most expensive content subscription. (it's significantly more than PS+)
If they release 3 games a year (don't hold your breath) that's $80 per game. And you're paying whether you want the game or not.
After putting ads for McDonald's on the dashboard Phil is practising for a Burger King deal by selling Whoppers, would you like some lies err I mean fries with your Whopper?
P.S. whopper is also slang for lies
I like the IGN poll results.
Is This the Beginning of the End for the Xbox Exclusive?
Yes
91.3%
No
6.5%
Maybe (let us know why in the comments!)
Actually, they spent 7 years blasting "Day 1" in everyone's faces only to bait and switch as soon as they actually had a game to release.
And what's worse is how they lied constantly about the cost and profitability to assure people things weren't going to change. Basically calling everyone who was saying the obvious truth liars.
And what's worse is all the people in the media who knew the truth but took Microsoft's money a...
"It's like comparing it to PlayStation Plus Essential."
No it's not, PS+ Essential gives you new games every month.
It gets games like LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, two popular franchises and a highly regarded indie. The month before that Borderlands 3, NHL 24, Among Us, again two popular franchises and a highly regarded indie.

" typical case of "damned if you do and damned if you don't"."
No, that's not correct even by your own admission, game pass wasn't profitable so they were forced to raise prices, it wasn't really a choice.
And it's not just the prices that have gone up, the number of games has gone down. Back when the service launched and they were giving it away for $1 they were adding 15-20 games a month, now it's 7 or 8 ga...
@S2Killinit
Statistically the majority of "gamers" only play 2-3 games period some live service like Fortnite a sports game and CoD.
You can give them awesome games like Cult of the Lamb or Plucky Squire and they won't even install them for free. No game will make them happy and even when they gave out CoD and FIFA they still complained because they already had the game.
Like last month, around here people were complaining...
I know you were being sarcastic, I just wanted to point out some the games that PS+ has gotten day one.
You were sarcastically pointing out that PS+ gets day one, I was validating that there have been a lot of day ones and popular well known games.
I wasn't actually even replying to you, it was just the best comment to post the list too.
I mean, if Microsoft adds three games a year and you have to pay $20 a month your paying $80 per game whether you want them or not. $70 with a choice to buy what I want and have a disk that I can keep actually seems like the better value to me.
And as I have always said MAU is a made up BS statistic, only profit matters, which is why Microsoft is forced to put its games on PlayStation.
Harry Potter is Harry Potter, it's a huge franchise. And Plucky Squire was the second most popular Devolver game during that show last year after Cult of the Lamb which was added to PS+ this month.
Here is a partial list of day one.
Stray
Bugsnax
Destruction All-Stars
Tales of Kenzera: Zau
Sea of Stars
Moving Out 2
Humanity
Teardown
Tchia
FoamStars
Rogue Legacy 2
Plucky Squire
Dave the Diver
Animal Well
The Lost Wild
