Many people regard me as a 360 fanboy. But I can tell you quite simply... this is the death knell for Xbox. The beginning of the end. The truth is that exclusives matter, but talented developers matter so much more.
I am ultimately more dedicated to following Bungie more so than Halo and Xbox.
@cgoodno: Bungie just got out from under the Microsoft umbrella last year. Do you think they would be so quick to slap the chains on again?
Master_Blaster, you have my appreciation for hitting at the root cause here: people who think video games are/should be realistic.
People are coming up with some great ideas, but there are some stubborn fanboys who think the number #1 complaint about KZ2 shouldn't be fixed. (EDIT: Nevermind.... some of you morons are head-in-the-sand mouthbreathers who are just a rabidly dedicated to Killzone as other people are dedicated to Halo. NO DIFFERENCE.)
If Guerrilla added a high-precision mode to the game... that means there was something to fix. And it helped, quite a bit.
But the heavy, forced-de...
Children, get along.
I think I'll start petitioning N4G to start classifying snark as restricted-to-open-zone-able offense. You losers are adding NOTHING to the conversation.
Frankly, anyone still flying the RROD flag has a bone to pick with Microsoft, no matter how much of a non-issue it becomes over time. They will still hold it against them... even when it certifiably is no longer an issue. That is as disingenuous as taunting a high school kid for accidentally ...
Wait a second here. How could "most" PS3's be bought second hand? I mean, think about this rationally: PS3s have to be bought new before they can be bought used... so how could the total number of used sales outpace the new sales? If that were the case, most of those second-hand PS3's would have to change hands several times.
On the other hand, I knew this one guy with such crappy control of his cash he sold both his 360 and PS3 several times... 5 last time I counted...
"You feel connected you feel like it's somehow cooler when you install something"
And there it is. The crux of the entire argument for Linux: "I'm teh leet haxxor and your just a windows noob."
I'm sure if you can handle Linux, you get this inflated feeling of superiority. Good for you. But that doesn't translate into "better".
Interestingly, they are doing framerate analysis on an internet video. The video compession alone count account for any slow down. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in this analysis, either way.
How much gameplay do you expect out of a $60 game? What about a $5-$10 demo?
People can get so hardheaded when money is involved. If the demo is, in itself, worth the price you pay for it... whoopty f-ing doo. It's business. Business in a free market. Either you pay for it and get it, or you don't and you don't. Either way, devs will only do this as long as they can make money and it doesn't harm the money making potential of the full title.
Nope, it's McFarlane.
All I think about is how that sniper rifle will get snapped off.
I might give your opinion some weight if you didn't sound so gosh-darn giddy about it...
Below: Of course people are going to find Reach's graphics underwhelming. It's Halo. They MUST find something wrong with it to validate their entire existence. It can't be the biggest game of the year. They have a inexplicable moral obligation to ensure it fails...
Halo was never about the graphics. Never. The graphics do their job, but that's not why you play Halo. Why ...
It's called motion blur. It's in other games, like Killzone 2.
Below: So, to you, pointing out the truth is desperately defending and ignoring the obvious is... doing... what exactly?
Disagrees: What? Really? There is nothing to disagree with here. There is no opinion, only fact. Me: "Master Chief is green." You: "GWAR! HALO! DISAGREEEEE"
AH... a race focused buggy. Halo Kart anyone?
Hummm... don't know about that Legendary edition. It costs even more than the H3 L-ed. But I'm sold on the middle-tier collectors ed at least.
Funny you should frame it in those terms.
These days, there are gamers who don't want to be led by the leash through a narrative. Online, in multiplayer, you get to craft your own narrative, of sorts. Instead of putting a negative spin on this with "kids these days are over stimulated", think about how this is merely different.
Kinda loaded question.
There is always room for single player. It's like Jello.
There isn't always room for multiplayer. It's like cheesecake.
Huh? You can't even see any of the lag in this demo. So, I can only conclude that you are trolling.
Look, Mr. Soft, I'm sure Ricochet will be a fun little game right out of the box, but I have no intention of firing it up after the first month unless someone who hasn't seen Natal wants to try it. And at that point, I hope to have something more interesting to show them.
So, please, show us something new. Sony has been showing us how to play SOCOM and cool multi-"touch" demos with Move. When can we expect that from Natal?
Want to show something cool in ...
You will never pay for a demo?
What if it's a demo with 3 hours of solid Triple-A gameplay? What if they make it worth your cash? Are you going to avoid that kind of content on principle alone?
Well, that's your choice. As for me... I'm not decided yet. Each any every time they will have to earn my money, same way a free demo has to earn my valuable time.
I had no doubt this news wouldn't fly at N4G, bastion of PS3 fanboyism. A people so used to getting PSN for free that they will riot anytime someone asks them for money.
Well, never fear... those demos will have to be good enough to warrant your money. And if the market doesn't go for it... these kinds of Prologue content will disappear.
Just remember... GT5 did it first.
I'd love to know what you disagree with: if N4G is inundated with PS3 fanboys, i...
There are three kinds of fanboys affected by this change:
1) Xbox fanboys - who stand to lose quite a bit... the top exclusive developer going multiplat
2) Halo fanboys - who stand to lose less... 343 Studios won't stop making Halo games
3) Bungie fanboys - who stand to gain an expanded community
And a fourth kind... people who didn't know they were Bungie fanboys until this happened.
