Seems a little nauseating to watch this for some reason. And I only seem to get nauseous when the FOV is some weird value.
It seems a bit misleading to see the 10/10 score on N4G next to an automated ad for Perfect Dark Zero...
Before you disagree with what I'm saying wholesale, I disagree with what Greenburg is saying. His numbers are odd if not completely false.
First, please stop dragging out this tired "only because of head start" argument. It doesn't work. I've explained this time and time again... so once more won't kill me: everyone has to live with their decisions. You can't realign the launches to make your console look better. They launched in different market environments... a...
Mob mentality at it's worst. Is this how you really want the rest of the world to think of gamers? Petty children and stuck-up brats?
Face it, this display isn't doing anyone any good.
This game is a breaking point in the industry. It will devide the gamers from the interactive movie watchers, the gamers from the shallow fanboys, the gamers from the japanophiles.
As for me, I picked my side carefully, and while this doesn't prove I picked the "ri...
Eh? I actually think Sony is doin' a solid here. The proof is going to be in the pudding, but for now, I would still put my money on Move being superior to any other motion tech out there.
@loki: ...and ye shall receive: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
I'm not sure where your skepticism comes from. They have shown it several times. Look at your avatar picture right here on N4G! How do you think they could map the user to his Xbox Avatar?
Rare isn't what it used to be. Totally granted. One of Microsoft's worst business decisions of all time.
However, PD is the cream of the crop of classic Rare. It's great that they resurrected this dinosaur.
8/10 for a 10 year old game with an HD facelift? I'd say that's pretty good.
I'm not approving Captain Obvious' story. Of course it's tech demo-y. They are tech demos.
Agreed! Why can't the 360 cache a list of the games on the disk? Why do I have to wait for the library to enumerate EVERY TIME I switch a game?
But I have to admit, I feel more confident yanking up the guide in the middle of a loading screen than I did pre-NXE.
That's ok. Details like that aren't important when you are part of Sony's guerrilla marketing team, popping into places you aren't welcome to offer curious non-sequitur comments that attempt to change the subject subtly in your favor.
Splinter Cell? Reach and ME2 will probably be the front runners, and everyone knows it.
@sikbeta: Agreed. Nothing, not Achievements and Cross-game chat, now graphics and 50 gigs worth of HD cutscenes can make this steamer of a game any better. Honestly, which console you pick this up for could not be more of a non-issue.
This is funny. Sony isn't ripping off Nintendo.
Sony is keeping the promises Nintendo made when they rolled out the Wiimote... and then re-promised when they rolled out MotionPlus. And, of course, failed to keep.
Anyone who knows me, I'm a huge Microsoft fan, but while I'm getting both Move and Natal, I still think Move will be the superior motion tech. Gotta go with Sony on this one.
You got to hand it to Sony. The balls that change color for maximum camera visibility is brilliant.
I'm certainly getting both Natal and "Arc", but I would put my money on Sony's tech to be the better for actually playing the games I would want to play. Natal's input lag is starting to worry me, and I actually prefer having buttons on my controller.
Sony is delivering on Nintendo's promises for the Wiimote... and then re-promises with MotionPlus.
I got to put my money squarely on Sony in this round.
And I'm sure they will leverage those patents to bludgeon anyone who even thinks about doing their job for them. I'm still a little miffed at the Samsung/Sharp suits that took my Samsung panel out of production. Thankfully, it appears they put it back into production when the suits were settled.
I would not mind them reskinning and "HD-ing" the game, a la Perfect Dark XBLA. The best thing for these older games is to ensure it plays the same.
Wow. Just wow.
People will come up with the most outrageous justifications for even the smallest of margins. It doesn't matter either way. Recognize it's not the media that's biased, it's you.
Either way, I'm disappointed with the game. Horribly linear. Run forward, get in fight, mash auto-battle, run forward, get in fight, mash auto-battle, heal. No way I'm wading through this junk for 15 hours before it gets to real gameplay. It's a bit cliche to call it an ...
You mean Zero? Yes, I was pumped for PDZ when the 360 was just coming out because I was such a fan of the original. I had to rationally talk myself down when it turned out.... well.... just plain bad.
