10% screen tearing is nothing to brush off. I know some people don't notice tearing as much as others, but for me, ever since the first time I saw it, I haven't been able to *not* see it, and it drives me nuts. Breaks the immersion, IMO.
Plus, load times were just a shade better on the box, and LoT doesn't install games for their comparison, and I usually do.
As a multiplatform owner, this is an easy decision.
Sales have nothing to due with how good a game is, and you probably shouldn't be paying any attention to anyone that says otherwise.
Good for moms and dads that don't know any better, but for any of you Amazoners out there, you can get all of these things for less than $50 with free shipping.
Still a good deal if you figure MSRP, I suppose.
This makes me feel better about how bad the beta looked. Let's face it, it wasn't pretty. But the idea that we were playing not only an outdated build of the game, but also on low-res textures that will be surpassed by this optional install, makes me feel good.
I can't imagine a Battlefield game not looking stunning.
@Droid: I just want it to look 'as good as' BC2. Give me that with the new sounds and B3 options, and I'm happy.
It's been here for months already. http://www.amazon.com/Pro-E...
Just a slightly different version.
They probably won't. Beta only lasts for another week or so. Not a lot of time to patch anything. Besides, I get the feeling this is more of a server beta, based on how old the build we're playing on is.
Yeah it is. They're just random screens plucked from both versions. You can't do a proper 'comparison' that way. The article doesn't even specify which is which.
Fail.
Same price as any other new controller. Troll elsewhere, please.
Yep. I'm VERY pleased that they're using the new analog sticks you can find on the silver Xbox controllers. The raised edge is far superior to the 'nub' design, IMO.
I'm sure Sony didn't set the price of this. And there are no other NFL packages like Sunday Ticket. Your $40-70 claim is BS. NFL Sunday Ticket is the *only* package that gets you every NFL game that's not broadcast nation-wide.
$340 is steep, but if it comes with DVR and replay support (like the NHL and MLB packages do) then I think it's worth it.
That worked for the NHL package. Me and a couple of buddies split it three ways. They both watched on PC, and I watched on my PS3, all on the same account.
@kneon
There's 1031 cars in GT5, and only 221 of them are 'premium cars'. Forza 3 will have 500+, and they'll all be the equivalent of GT5's 'premium' cars.
And you want to talk about a lame comeback? How about saying because a game gives you the OPTION to rewind the race, it's immediately hard to take it seriously. I mean really, it's an OPTION. You don't have to use it. If you're such teh hardcorez raca, then don&...
And there's an exclusive themed console coming with it...
Is anyone else getting a little concerned about this? I know it's a beta but this game comes out in 4 weeks. If they can't handle the small amount of people that are currently participating in the 'beta', how are they going to handle a full load on launch day?
Hope they get it shaped up. Videos I've been watching look great.
I don't think they will either, but maybe it's just wishful thinking.
WTH!?!? They did it for me too! Just over 1300 points, deposited in 220 point increments, all on the 11th.
Has to be a Rewards member mistake.
Edit - verified it pretty much has to be a rewards mistake. I was slated to have 220 point deposited from rewards promotions this week. They just deposited it 6 times.
Now, the real question is, will they take them away?
You could be right.
I agree that launching a year late was a mistake but I don't think Sony will necessarily have a choice this time around, depending on when Microsoft decides to start 'next-gen'.
I don't think we'll see another PlayStation console for another few years. A new Xbox next year is more feasible.
Sony just started making money on the PS3 itself in the last 12-18 months so making another console doesn't seem right for them. And even if they drop the price $50 in the next year (and they likely will), do you really think Sony is going to launch the PS4 when the PS3 still costs $250? It's just not the right time for them.
Ironi...
How good you think it is would be a start...
